Re: Taming Loque
He's got 7 different spawn points plus theres the theory of only 3 rares allowed up in Northrend at any one time. So you need to either just fly around on occasion and hope you get lucky or do a hardcore camp for him.

Oh boy! I waited for 5 months before I finally saw him. Man that camp sucked. Good luck!

Re: Taming Loque
there may not be alot of people on that server but still advertise that you will pay for anyone that sees him and tell you where he is and not to kill him i would say 500g is a fair price. That's what i did and i got him 2 days after camping him when he was first being tamed. Granted there where alot more people looking in the area but it doesn't hurt to advertise every like 5 min or something

I got mine by doing fly-bys whenever I was nearby doing archaeology (don't forget to use the Way-gate when in Ungoro Crater). Much less frustrating to be doing something productive at the same time.

Wish you were on our server, I'd keep an eye out for you. I tend to run across him quite a bit now that everyone has moved out of the Northerend.

Re: Taming Loque
I tamed him back before Cata was released, so hopefully you won't need to wait quite as long as me. Don't give up, he sure is worth the wait.

Re: Taming Loque
Well at least you saw signs of the others. During my search for Loque, I never saw one! And I passed by several of their spawn locations in my usual route. At one point I seriously thought all the SB rares were a myth. Finally, Loque showed up one day after several months of searching. I still haven't seen Krush in the wild yet, but did manage to see Aotona once (Tamed her but eventually released her cause she wasn't as awesome as I had hoped.) I seem to have pretty lame luck seeing any of them in the wild.

There are 3 allowed at once. People keep saying they don't believe it, but many people have tested it and I feel like a GM confirmed it.MushroomHead wrote:still no sign of him, and i will try out advertising if ppl see him.

That said, about 3 months ago I FINALLY got Loque myself. Many, many fly-bys... I got Loque when I logged in. I had logged out at a spawn point (not even intentionally, to be honest), logged in, and there was shiny spirit beast. Try just looking frquently, vs pure camping?

The ONLY camp I ever did was Krush, lol. It was 6 hours of my bf and I discussiong the properties of lint or something. He was helping, but it was stillpainfully boring, so I feel ya. I hope you get lucky soon!

Re: Taming Loque
On my old hunter Loque was the most difficult SB, even after Cataclysm. I suggest you to set your heartstone in Dalaran (I hated to travel everytime with the zeppelin and so often I didn't check).

Re: Taming Loque
i might change realm to one of the ones for new players, as they are under-populated i figure there wont be so many people in the basin.
i have counted atleast 20 other people camping for rares in Sholazar.
why cant blizz give the SB's like a 2 hour spawn time. it would make everyone happier

Re: Taming Loque
Let everyone in your guild know you are looking for him and ask them to tell you if they see him. Even doing this it took me months to find him, but it was a guildie who actually found him for me.

Re: Taming Loque
Transfer to Tarren Mill. Golden is a rare magnet. For real. When I dinged 76 on Aravindil, I immediately went to SB and did the route, anti-clockwise as I always do, but no sign of Loque, or the other two. Golden's alt was in SB the next morning and Loque spanwed right behind him. I was in Winterspring at the time doing the Winterspring Frost Sabre daily so it would have been quite some time before I made it to SB. Luckily Wintergrasp was on the go so I queued, took the flight there, arrived to see Golden madly cc'ing Loque, tamed and viola! Thanks again Golden
I camp for rares. It's what I do. During Wrath it took me five straight days of intense camping (ie. doing nothing but camping/checking spawn points) before I found Loque on my main. Never seen him again. Next was Gondria. Same scenario but took me seven days. Aotona took me three weeks. King Krush I killed when he spawned while I was camping Loque. I finally decided to tame him when our stables got expanded, took me seven days - sucks coz he pats. But the most elusive of all for me was Rak'shiri, who took me one month of very intense camping. It was the first rare I really, really, really wanted. She managed to spawn a few days into my stint, but she chose an unfortunate spot to appear, which was right in front of the Lich King's cronies pre-Wrath launch and one of the bastards one-shotted her to my utter dismay. A few weeks later I finally found her and she is still my favourite, Loque being a close second.
Good luck with your search. Tips would be to check between 1am and 8am when it is the most quiet and don't give up, you will eventually find her
