Yeah it was, granted the firehawks arent nearly as impressive as this.

The raid mounts I most have problems with are the ones Blizzard takes away after the raid is no longer current content, or the ones that drop from a heroic version of a boss but then is turned to a rare drop. Then the only way to get it is to go back with 10 or 25 people and that can be really frustrating for a mount collector.

I can deal with most ways to obatain a mount, be as easy and difficult as some of them are. But to have some mounts acutally removed game, this is frustrating for sure.

Ok, I'm willing to bet the "chromatic" name simply refers to the fact it's somehow derived from all the different aspects, even though its colour is gold. The reason being this achievement:

the confusing part is that the acheivment can be completed in normal or heroic, blizz usually puts 2 mounts in, one for normal and one for heroic so im not entirely sure if its gonna be an acheivment reward or not, i can see it being a drop or something in MoP

Look at how the wings move when it flies. It's pumping them to push air in front of it - the wings are pushing it backward. It's… flying backwards. That bugs me to no end. >.<

ive noticed that all dragons do that, every dragon mount i have ever been place atop does that

I think you're right Wain, it seems pretty reasonable that it will be the reward from that raid achievement.

Also note the colour of the new icon attached to that achievement

It may not come directly from that achievement but there definitely seems to be a link there.

I also suspect the more oriental stylings of the drake may be due to the fact that the art team are experimenting for MoP and this is derived from one of those experiments

Yeah, I too did note that also, however I just assumed that it was because the animation shown was it's idol, "hovering" animation, not it's flying forward one. I didn't really look at it that way. If what is being shown is it's traveling animation, it really does have a awfully apparent back "draft" animation happening. (not that I don't still want it )

Yeah I saw that achievement last night and was talking about it with some friends in game. For some reason I totally forgot about it today xD That was another reason I was thinking raid mount, though. >.<

Not to derail, but which one? I'm assuming my Druid one as it could pass for badass. The one with my Hunter is just calm and cool with her pets. Unless I'm thinking the wrong definition of "badass" lol.


On Topic:
If that Achievement is the one that rewards it, it doesn't seem to hard to complete. I wouldn't mind it as it doesn't sound too difficult. Just have to return to the encounter and start from a different point each time.
