Quick dragonhawk model edit - feets!
I grabbed the hands and feet from the new chromatic dragonwhelp and stuck them on. I know there's people who like Dragonhawks as they are, no worries! This is just something I'd be much more excited about to tame if they seemed a bit more draconic and less like...flying shrimp. xD

Re: Quick dragonhawk model edit - feets!
The thing that always irked me was the way the wings are made up. I've always preferred the more bird-like features of the model, or at least concept art, of the WC3 dragonhawk.
Good work, I've got a few ideas to try to sketch out now ^_^

I think in the first one I threw together the appendages were too big (again, it was just a quick edit to see how they'd look). I'm thinking along the lines of the Fairie Dragons and Whelps in regard to arms and legs.

Vephriel wrote:Oh for sure, if they actually had legs and/or arms I imagine they'd be much thinner, but the chromatic dragon whelp was the first thing that came to my head for something to use just to get a rough idea of the appearance.
Is that whelp with the other whelps in the model veiwer? If so I think I need to get a new version.

Re: Quick dragonhawk model edit - feets!
Another alternative(that would be hard to do without redoing the model, so I guess I'll just draw it) would be hoatzin-esque clawed wings to substitute arms and fully developed legs. I can't say I can really see adult Dragonhawks scuttling along branches in Eversong, but it'd be a nice alternative to fully formed limbs.Wain wrote:Oh wow Yeah, I definitely prefer without the arms as well. (Unless they had tiny, tiny arms like a protodrake?). I actually like them without limbs at all, I think of them as distant relatives of the windserpent, but I definitely like them with your leg design as well
