Not really my mount but my bf just won the mount from Rag! Im super excited for him cause I still felt bad about winning the one from Alys and beating him by like 2 on the roll. He's got suck bad luck with rolls lol.

I farmed enough to get a Sandstone Drake. Yay. I really wanted a Netherdrake, but I'll be damned if I'm farming another toon to exalted. The Netherwing ledge area is STILL crowded with people, so hunting eggs for rep is not easy. Either my server is higher pop than I thought or everyone gets the "lets farm rep!" idea at the same time, so I just gave up and decided I'd spend my farming time on mats for this.

Finally finished gathering Outlands mounts on Daphine! I experience locked her at 70. I love Outlands and it was really fun to get these at-level.

Decided to pick up the Argent Tournament dailies again today after a long break from them. It's always when you least expect it and aren't even looking for it. (I had done a fly through on the way to the Tourny grounds. Was heading up from Icecrown to do the Jorm quest when NPC/Silver Dragon went off. I shrugged it off as "Vyragosa" then saw the brown drake picture and freaked. I almost didn't want to click it thinking it was the corpse. When I clicked and saw it was full health and unclaimed I paniced trying to figure out where it was. It was too high to shoot it down, so I just flew into him and pulled him down to the ground.)

Yaaay! It's not a big achievement, but it's taken me forever to reach Exalted with my guild. Happy to have a Dark Phoenix finally, I love the colours.

Gratz on the Phoenix and the Time-Lost xD My guild is yet to get the Achievement for the Phoenix yet I am at exalted status with them. :p

I couldn't get a minute to post for a while but I've had such a great week of mount collecting!

On Thursday I did a run in Magisters Terrace with a guildie just on a whim as he wanted transmog stuff and since I already had everything I wanted from there I told him I would pass all the good stuff over to him. We totally sailed through it and what do you think happened when Kael'thas was downed? The first thing on the list was the White Hawkstrider! My guildie was ecstatic It felt amazing to see the mount appear on the list for the second time in my playing life and even better knowing a fellow guildie could have it! :3

Later that day we decided to do a random Heroic as a guild run and up popped Vortex Pinnacle -.- I don't really like that place as I run normals with the GM's alt and it pops up 80% of the time, sick of it. It was my first heroic in a while in fact and it came to the Dragon boss who is always tricky for me. I've never seen either of the drakes drop in either VP or SC but there it was, Reins of the Drake of the North Wind. I was in awe, I've not exactly done a lot of dungeon runs nor do I farm the mounts in them (confidence issues, I hate dungeoning without people I know are friendly and helpful with me) so this was just totally exciting! One person passed and the rest of us rolled need.

I WON IT! I could not believe it! I was going nuts with my fiancé going "What!? What happened?" xD I am still so thrilled that I actually won a roll on a low drop rate mount. It wasn't until after I had learned it that I realised I was in fact super lucky. I won it on a roll of 44. 44!!? That's low. Also a guildie had the same roll. =/ I felt really quite awkward after that, I had been going nuts about it after I won it and there was my guildie with the same roll but who RNG didn't pick to get the mount. I still feel horrible, they have been playing since vanilla, i've been playing since the end of May this year... Do I truly deserve that mount? They did congratulate me and since have done quests and dungeons together so it's all good but i feel like I should re-pay him or something to make up for having good RNG.

Either way it's mines and I adore it. Like a little Godzilla drake, the face is so serene yet strong looking!


I have been doing Baradin's wardens quests for rep and points to save for the west wind drake but now I have a nicer looking one (imo) I decided to buy myself the steed!


And while I was camping for Time-Lost with my Drake, it looks really nice in the Storm Peaks! :3

I have been hunting that Time-Lost Proto Drake for near on 4 months. Since I turned at least lv 79 I have done major camps then given up because I really wanted to play the game rather than waste it in the same zone sitting doing nothing, then taken them up again. I've grouped up a few times with people to help each other, joined a chat channel dedicated to hunting the drake and even had a friend help me camp it.

This friend who helped me ended up finding the drake himself at around 3am one morning, I do not go on my computer at that time so he got it. And then never really helped me again after that. To rub in the salt he got it the day after he found a Brewfest Ram in his keg =/ Although I myself found a Brewfest Kodo soon after so I was a little less bitter. :p One of the people I had grouped with also got hers and on a mere fly-by I had my scanner go off and I got to see her win her prize. That was a good dead drake, the second tlpd I had ever seen. The first one I saw was a gutting experience where I had flown past Brun's spawn mere seconds before it spawned and missed my chance. Got alerted of it's killing and saw it's corpse. =/ I had such a strong feeling of it spawning that night, not very nice end I can assure you.

So after levelling to 85 and collecting a good few other mounts I decided to do the Argent Tournament dailies! What a perfect opportunity to do sporadic camps for the TLPD. These camps would sometimes revert to my old habit of sitting all day for it but it was over all less boring than before. I took to iplayer and reading while camping so it was far more enjoyable. I sat for a solid week without touching my dailies which was anti productive but that week was wasted as nothing but 2 vyras showed up. So back to camping when I had a spare moment, between running dungeons with the guild and my dailies.

That was about a month ago now and on Saturday the 17th December I had just finished doing my snowbold dailiy from Argent Tournament and was flying back to hand them all in. I decided that I would plonk down on the frozen lake ledge like usual (very lucky no one was already there most of the time) and come on wow-petopia to tell the tale of my Drake of the North Wind... Well I never got to do it as you can probably tell as this post is my North Wind Drake story :p. I had just finished uploading all my photos and had clicked on the forums link here when I heard my NPC scanner blare!!!!

I knew it was TLPD. How? Well I already had all the other SP rares cached so you can imagine my reaction!! I alt-tabbed fast to see the drake fly off the ledge (quick mover) and I took pursuit.
In the sheer excitement and just "OMG-ness" of it all I misjudged my dismount and took an angle... died. >.< DERP SO Spirit rez and the drake was still visible, I flew over to it, flew in front of it heart pounding and limbs gone numb out of the fright I just had from dying and fear of it getting stolen from me.

Dismount > Snowfall > TAG! I got it and we descended down into the village of the val'kyr =/ lol


So yeah my dps was rubbish cheers to rez sickness and I had forgotten my pet wasn't out so it wasn't going well, after it was called the drake went down quickly and so did the val'kyr who were wanting a piece of me.

Then it sank in... It was over! 4 months roughly of hope and drake shaped dreams that never seemed to happen, all the time put in finally coming to fruition! xD






I still can't believe it! So soon after winning that Drake of the North Wind as well! Every time I have been in SP I have sat for just a few mins maybe a few hours and all it came down to in the end was 25 mins of sitting on that ledge. It spawned between 17:05 and 17:10 which coincidently is around the time nearly all the Vyragosas i've encountered have spawned... well not 5 o'clock but between 55 and 05 mins past the hour. a couple flying by bang on 00 after spawning from the waterfall.

Also I thought this drake was always at lv 80? I didn't notice until when I was looking at the pictures that this drake was at lv 79. Don't know if any of you have had one at that lv.
EDIT: HOLD ON JUST ONE DARN SECOND. If you look at the first image closely you can see 79 in the circle right? Then look at the corpse image, it says 80 o,o Wtf?
EDIT 2: Ahaa, cheers Kraai, I've never noticed the levels changing when under the influence :p I'd forgotten Snowfall was an alcohol too.

Amazed at how quick it went between hearing the alarm and taking my prize! Also there was NOONE around during the chase and the kill! Very VERY lucky because not long after I noticed that a Tauren druid who always hovered in the air at the same spot near the frozen lake had re-appeared. If he had been there when the drake spawned I would have lost it to him due to my dying mistake.
I did get a whisper from a camper after I was done with the kill, he congratulated me and I wished him the very best of luck. I imagine if I was late with that spirit rez or messed up again he would have the drake instead of me. Mind you if I messed up that much I probably wouldn't deserve the thing. :p

So yeah, pretty amazing weekend xD

If your character drinks the levels of things will go /down/.

After hanging on to the Halaa Battle Tokens for ages, I finally worked up the motivation today to just sit down and grind the 200 Osho'gun Powders I needed to buy my Dark War Talbuk. It took a few hours of endlessly killing mobs, but eventually I got them. I had to retake Halaa by myself once I'd collected them all, but I'm happy I finally have this mount.

Just got my Darkmoon Dancing Bear!!
