Re: Show Off Your Favorite Pets!
Rampage:

This is my favorite, most loyal, and most reliable pet I have. He is closest to my heart and my pet I can always count on. I tamed Rampage in Wrath at a low gear lvl it was pure luck I didn't even have to hunt for him he showed right up for me as soon as I entered Sholazar, took me several tries before I had a successful tame and he's been by my side ever since. My guildies always know me by my big green dino, I pvp and pve with him and have him out more then any other pet. I never put him in the stables he's the one pet I don't switch and if there is any down time he's right by my side. No pet can replace Rampage he's a hunters best friend
Vortex:

Vortex is my main PvP pet and pet I use the most in PvP second to Rampage. Hunting him was very easy I hunted for less then an hour when he spawned right on top of me. When it comes to killing the opposite faction Vortex is always on call. I always love seeing him with me and is often who I bring to RP socials. He's my favorite cat and is always fun for random events. He is a personal favorite and all around fantastic pet.
Soundwave:

Soundwave is my main Dungeon and raid pet, and always on call for soloing. Soundwave was probably the only pet I use to say begged to be tamed. I saw him spawn 8 random times before I finally gave in and brought him into my family. He quickly became one of my favorite pets and I use him in any dungeon or raid and especially soloing. He is fantastic and never fails when needing some dps.
Vander:

Vander is my very versatile utility pet I pvp with him and pve but only when not using Rampage or Vortex. I spotted him 3 times before finally taming. My first wow hunter had a white wolf before I deleted her, I call Vander the loyal spirit of that pet ( was given same name). He is used for anything the others are not and is a great pet.

Re: Show Off Your Favorite Pets!

Pyromania is my baby. End of story. I could never part with him. He's my truly favourite pet. I've loved and adored his model since I first saw Soo-Holu.

This is Onyx. She is very cute, I love Warp Stalkers. I almost gave up getting her because I was having such bad luck getting the summoning items. But, In the end it worked out. She's such an adorable little thing.

Celestia is my good girl. I waited for her so long, and got annoyed by another pulling his out to trip my NPCscan, However, it was well worth the wait, she's a beautiful tiger.

I was never fond of Karoma, that is until I tamed her and realized how truly beautiful she really is. I named her Universe.

Skoll, or as I've named mine, Tempest, has been one of my favourites since I even started playing WoW, I saw him on a website and thought how gorgeous he is.

Deathmaw came into my heart because of his simple colouring and beautiful eyes. They're so blue.

Re: Show Off Your Favorite Pets!
I have several that are dear, so bear with me. >.>

First is Galdur. The blue jormungar skin appealed to me the moment I saw it, and this particular mob was waiting patiently at the entrance to its small cave, as if it was expecting me. Galdur has proven himself to be extremely useful in battlegrounds, of all things. I have him out pretty often in cities too. I like to think that he enjoys all the attention. ;]

This is Revelation. I wasn't initially planning on taming Kirix until I saw him in action. He's such a deadly asshole; I knew I had to have him. I had a terrible time trying to tame him, but when I was finally successful I felt awesome. Revelation is so named after the book in the bible that describes the apocalypse. I thought it was fitting for such a destructive spider.

I bet you didn't see this one coming. Vultros is the only pet I have who retained his wild name. I can't imagine it as anything else. He is the nuisance that plagues the farmers of Westfall, and to my hunter he is an invaluable scout. In Wrath he raided with me several times in ICC, and nowadays he keeps the hoards of tiny spiders at bay when we face Beth'tilac together.

Karoma was probably my second-longest camp. This wolf eluded me for so long, but is my favorite spirit beast by far. I named her Lanterna, something that popped into my head immediately. She is a distant guardian, only stepping in to help in truly dire moments, and I imagine that she is more insightful and self-aware than most beasts.

I've told this story a million times, but back in Wrath I searched for Krush for almost an entire year. During that time I saw him dead twice and alive at least three other times, but those three times I watched him being killed by other players. I was so obsessed that I started a campaign on my server offering 1k gold to anyone who found him and tipped me off. What's really awesome though is that on the night I got Kingslayer, I was so deliriously happy from watching the Lich King fall that I thought 'wouldn't it be awesome if I got Krush too?' Sure enough, when I flew to Sholazar Basin he was up, and after some frustrating unsuccessful attempts, I finally got off the tame. I named him Dionysius, and this guy has some history.

Antiquus is my oldest pet, my main raiding companion, and if I had to pick a favorite, he would be the one. I spent 10 straight hours camping for him before his respawn timer was nerfed, and the rest is history. He has been there for every raid boss I've helped kill, and he seldom leaves my active pet slots.

I considered leaving Menos off the list, but I felt the need to mention him. I have abandoned him twice so far, and he just keeps showing up for me. I have never camped for him, but every time I let him go I always end up running into him again. This is the third time I've tamed him, and I guess it was fated. Though I dislike having 2 of the same family in my stables, I can make an exception for a pet that is so... persistent. xD

Re: Show Off Your Favorite Pets!
I gotta add my two new favorites.
Clementine - Just a common brown scorpid from Uldum. She helps me do archaeology, and I do a lot of archaeology. I love watching her dance, she's so cute. I can't wait for MoP, if we actually will be able to make pets any spec we want - I would love to have a dps scorpid.

Sue - My green devilsaur needed a girlfriend.
The red devilsaurs are so pretty, I decided I needed one as well. She's named after "Sue," the famed T-rex fossil skeleton.

Re: Show Off Your Favorite Pets!
After seeing a lot of this guy lately, I've come to realize HE'S SO EFFIN ADORABLE! This has to be the cutest mob in the game. I think Blizzard put him in game just for us to "SQUEE!!!!" at. I've seen him a lot in the wild and as my pet and I just think he is the cutest damn thing ever created. His little mouth pincers just move all the time and swings his little claws around a lot and looks around like he's about to be attacked at any minute. Which, on my server, in the wild, is usually what happens. I want to murder people who kill Karkin. How can you kill something SO DAMN CUTE!?

Re: Show Off Your Favorite Pets!
These are obviously all done in WMV because it's late IRL and I didn't want the screen shots coming out dark. These are Rhyela's top five pets, the one she almost always has in her actives.
First up is Tetsusaiga. I loved this lion since the moment I saw him on Petopia waaaaay back in the day (we're talking vanilla WoW, mere months after its release). A horde summoned him and let me tame him. Aside from abandoning him once, thinking I'd just re-tame him later, he's never left my side. Thankfully, after said abandonment, a GM was kind enough to return him to me. He will never leave me ever again. <3

The next is Apollyon, the first real rare tame that I actually lost sleep over and camped in earnest. It took several hours (probably 24 total) before I got him, since the first time he was killed right in front of me, but I finally got lucky on a day I called off sick (yay for weird instinctual feelings to go check) and got him. I had originally picked out the name Kaiser for him, but as soon as I saw him and had the hardest time taming him (I tamed him at level back when tames took 20 seconds), the name Apollyon came to me and it fit perfectly. I also now have King Mosh, what I call Krush's little brother, and named him Abaddon.

Third is Vulkoor. Madexx is probably pretty high on most peoples' list, but this scorpid is special to me. I originally wanted green since I love green, but got bronze first. He's pretty, and I do like him and would gladly keep him on another character, but he just didn't suit Rhyela, so I let him go. I camped and camped and camped and finally, one day, I stumbled across black Madexx. I had meant to hang onto him for someone else, and just pressed tame in the meantime to try to deter anyone from ganking (I was nervous and it seemed like a good idea at the time, I was just going to tame/cancel, tame/cancel, etc.); but in my confusion of not being able to find the person I was looking for (tried typing it in and misspelled instead of just looking at my friends list, derp!), I actually tamed him. Annoyed that it wasn't green and that I tamed something I didn't want, I just threw him in the stable (but not before noticing how very handsome he was, and receiving a compliment from a camping buddy). However, during a Madexx photo shoot with a couple of camping friends, I pulled out my black Madexx instead of my bronze, and for some reason we just really clicked. He seemed like he was MY Madexx. He spawned for me and whether I liked it or not, he was going to stay with me. Well, I ended up really falling in love with him and he is my main tanking pet.

Next up is Naphthali. This special little spider was originally going to be a replacement for Naraxis since it wasn't up at the time, and I was going to just give the skin a test run to see if I'd like it. She's a Razzashi Broodwidow from Zul'Gurub, back when it was a raid instead of an instance. So, this particular model is now extinct. I didn't mean to, and I wasn't expecting it, but I quickly fell in love with her. She has a very protective, motherly nature about her. On several occasions, she would stand on top of saronite ore as I mined it, as if to keep others from trying to swoop down and steal it. I almost replaced her with Naraxis, but after looking at that sweet little face staring at me from the entrance to Naraxis' cave, I just couldn't do it.

Lastly, there is Shikon. I know she's not exactly the most popular spirit beast and she's not as difficult to obtain, but I love her. I had Loque'nahak and Arcturis for a time, but even Loque didn't win me over the way Gondria did. I abandoned her once because I felt like I ought to keep Loque, since he's more of an icon spirit beast and my brother said he really matched me, but it didn't take long for me to start to feel the sting of Shikon's absence. I abandoned Loque again, and went and got my favorite SB back. I love her quieter roar, her purple glow, and her beautiful green eyes. She has a quiet beauty and strength about her, and I love it.

Perhaps later I will do my alt hunters' pets. They don't have as many so it won't take as long.
P.S. Wow, now that I see these wmv things in the post, they're atrocious. I'll replace them with actual screen shots later. x_x

Re: Show Off Your Favorite Pets!
Top 5 is tough...here goes.
Webster was the most time consuming to tame, solo it took 35 minutes but I had to have that purple spider, it's my main PVP pet. I also tamed Skitterflame which took 20 deaths, 250 Gold in repair and 2 weeks before I landed him, it's a very strategic tame.

Yummy brains gets me the most attention, more of a show piece but does a great job tanking. Fun to tame if you can hold your breath.

Phineas was a "must have" the moment I first saw him, my main pet used to be a core hound that I was very proud of, but everyone had one. This Turtle is my main tanking pet.

Waltermellon (named by my daughter) is the pet I use most, I love his unique color and I am always surprised that more hunters don't have him.

My last choice was the toughest. I have 5 more cats I love, Loque'nahak was a 3 month project, Ankha was just suddenly in front of me, easy tame as well if you don't mind taming in your underwear, Sambas matches my guild mount, Echeyakee was a tough tame because a fellow guild member and I had to level Horde chars in order to summon him, we each have him now. I also have Ban'thalos and the ghostcrawler. Shadow below (named after my real cat who looks just like him minus the red glowing eyes) is my most recent acquisition and was surprisingly easy to tame.
