Auri and Aeo, the hunt and the baby Aeorath!

Hey there! You're just as obsessive over Aeonaxx as I am! I got him after about a month of staying tuned to that area. I first started questing there to level up and stay around in case he spawned. Well, the entire time I was doing quests there--never even saw him...

Then, during a patrol one Sunday night (I do patrols several times per day I rarely camp spots for hours at a time), Xariona spawned. I put together a raid group and we all downed her. It was huge excitement because she was the first rare Dragon I had seen at that point. Guess who spawns RIGHT as we're all rolling for gear? Aeonaxx! Well, annoyingly another person from the raid got him before me. SECONDS before me. But I was excited that I actually SAW him in game. I was so sick of looking at other people's screen caps. Hehe.

Well, throughout the next week I saw a couple dudes with the Phos Stone Drake, and I asked them about it. And oddly enough, they both had gotten their Aeonaxx on a Sunday. Not to mention, one fella said another guy he knew had gotten the drake on Sunday/Monday. So, I made sure that following Sunday/Monday (Which was actually this past Christmas morning) that I'd stay around Deepholm. We were doing pvp and dungeons but I was staying there so I could scan after each one. After a disappointing Dungeon, guess who spawned for me Christmas morning? The gorgeous boy, Aeonaxx. OMG. Best Christmas gift ever. Haha! No one was in sight. It was like 2am, 4am server time. It was one of the most fun rare hunting experiences ever. What a fun fight... I love it. If he was BOE I would hunt him again just for the fight experience!

So, my BEST advice here is to ask people who have the Phos drake on your server WHAT DAY they got their Aeonaxx. You might be surprised to see a pattern. So far, all the folks on my server that have a Phos drake got there's Sunday or early Monday. He's not really a common mount to see on my server but those who do have him say the same day!

TLPD drives me nuts. I just saw him killed earlier tonight. GRIPES!

Gratz on getting it! And I'm sure the next TLPD that spawns will be yours and you'll get your pretty new mustard mount

PSD is really rare on my server, I've only ever seen 2 and one of those is the boyfriend's - he got his on a Tuesday, if I recall correctly, just before a server reset. The other person I saw just told me he was busy when I tried asking him when/where he got it.

Glad it's back to weekdays now though, just me and a couple of questers in the zone again

12 days of pretty much non stop camping, and finally I got my Aeonaxx. Spawned at SE1 and though I was the only one in zone, it still felt like forever to actually fly to him

Fight was easy, pretty straight forward, didn't take any more than a minute as an arcane mage to drop him and my health, well, it barely moved xD

Took a screeny but my hands are still shaking so it might not be too amazingly wonderful lol. Decided to name him Aeorath.

Will have to drop by the zone tomorrow though and let the other campers know when and where.

Yeah it was a short camp compared to some others, I consider myself one of the lucky ones!
Went back this morning, after I all but passed out from sleep deprivation last night, and let the others know that yes, Aeonaxx had spawned, where he spawned and told them everything I knew. Most were pretty cool about it, but as expected there was always going to be one who cursed up a storm and /spat, accusing me of taking his spawn (when he wasn't even online!)

Going to give myself a few days off to do Lunar Festival achievs, run some heroics and reintroduce myself back into my guild xD After that...I think I'm going to try for TLPD!

It wasn't a short camp at all, she'd been working really hard for it those last few weeks. Most people who camp and claim they've spent '50 weeks camping it' or whatever are really only spending a couple of hours a day in Deepholm, lingering around before getting bored. Auri here spent all her time and effort into this so it's very well deserved.

Now now, I wasn't saying she didn't work hard so don't make it seem like I was.

I've seen a lot of LONG camp journals and two weeks is short compared to most. So please, don't even start that. xD

Yeyy grats! =D I'm considering going after Aeonaxx next..but before I do I think I'm going to have a biiig break from camping, I'll probably leave it a few weeks or months =P. Sending lots of luck your way, for when you decide to camp Mr. Time-Lost!
