Has anyone tried this before? I really want to transmog Shoulders of Lightning Reflexes for Natacia, but I'd have to switch to Leatherworking, level it up, get them made and then unlearn Leatherworking. The shoulders don't require you to be a Leatherworker so I'd assume it could work but I'm not sure.
If anyone knows for sure, please let me know! Just don't want to get them made and unlearn only to realize I won't be able to use them anymore.

I just finished leveling my leatherworking to 375 just so I could get those same shoulders for my "Skoll" transmog. 
The item itself does not say it requires leatherworking, it only binds on pick. (Such as, for example, some of those engineering items do. All of the items state which amount of Engy they require for use.)
It should be quite safe to unlearn LW as soon as you've created the item. As for me; I am going to keep leatherworking on my hunter for now because I'll probably want to make some more mail transmog armor in the future anyways.
(And maybe some leathers for my druid!)

Awesome, thank you! I noticed they didn't require Leatherworking to equip, just still made me a little nervous if for any reason I wouldn't be able to use them after unlearning.
