Photo Touch-up.
Was debating to toss this in here or off topic, Figured here would be more a place for it if not feel free to move/delete it.
Recently (again) I been wanting to start working on my touchup ability in photoshop. I really like working in photoshop on these kinds of things and was debating on using fiverr (site that can buy/sell many different things for $5) and start charging people $5 to touchup/restore photo's. But I wasn't quite sure if I should or not. I was also told about modelmayhem where you can work with different models/photographers and touchup professional photos too but that is more professional and didn't want to try that yet since my lack of examples and I haven't done it for a while. Anyways, Since I really don't visit many forums (really only this one lol) I have nowhere to ask opinions on what I have done, I know I don't post much and some may not even know me :p but I do visit here a lot so any of your opinions and/or criticisms would help a lot.
To the point and enough with my ramblings... This is a picture I have touched up and wanted any comments on what I could improve on or see any spots that look weird or whatever., Will show before and after. I have to kinda link to my DA page because they are like 5mb each.

Thanks again and sry for the long ranting.

The subject matter is a little disturbng to me,but I think you did a really awesome job on it!! Five dollars seems really cheap to me. There are some people who charge about 65 dollars an hour for that sort of thing. It might not be a bad idea, but if you try it and it goes well there I'd suggest trying something like craigslist and asking for a little more.

That does look really good.
(Although those hips... they make her look unhealthy, but it's most likely just me and my being used to being around fat people xD)

I say go for it, but definitely don't market with that image given the movement by the entertainment industry to bring back "normal" figures. There is a HUGE uproar right now in the biz and as we all know, the biz has a huge impact on how we see ourselves. However, this piece would have been Perfect for the 90's.
Ppl don't ever look at JUST what you did. The overall project speaks to who you are and the "I don't eat but one salad a day. Maybe." model is a huge turn off right now. Marketing Marketing Marketing. Kinda' like I can't use my best project on a reel b/c the lack of professionalism in lighting. It makes ME look cheap and bad despite I had nothing to do with the lighting. Yep. I had to take a darn marketing class to learn that. Oy. ><; But, results are results! I removed the piece and work skyrocketed! It's all about the package!
$5 is WAY UNDER VALUED. That kind of editing skill deserves more than $5. Though, if you stick to charging $5, can I use you as my editor? I need one bad... I won't say here what my job is, but it unfortunately requires the use of a skilled editor. LOL

Re: Photo Touch-up.
@Tsuki,
Thx :p, As far as the hips I do happen to agree, I have no problem with how people want to look, either skinny or not as long as they don't push it to an unhealthy level. That image though was just one I found and could work on to show what I could do.
@Galaxy,
I do have to agree about the whole movement to revert back to the 'normal' figure (I do prefer this as it shows off natural beauty and a more healthy look). The extreme touched up look may also be gone but most stuff is still lightly touched up just not as drastically as I did in that image. As for the 'skinny' model selection as I mentioned above, it was what I could find on the internet that wasn't already touched up, Its kinda hard to find images like that to practice on that haven't been changed already.
I do agree with the whole getting with the times if you expect to do much work. TV, Movies and Magazines all affect how people base their looks/figures on I will have to start basing what I do/choose off that.
As for the $5 I really don't think its that bad, Being $5 per picture, As stated previously by Bullet people charge $65/hour if I was a 'professional' and hated doing things like this I may charge that or maybe one day when I want a raise :p I know there as some pictures where it will be an outrageous request to do so much I will be like "$5 what was I thinking..." but I am still learning and there is nothing worse then overcharging someone and not giving them what they want or a piece of crap cause I couldn't do what they requested and wasted their time. Being out $5 isn't so bad instead of being out $130 cause I took my precious time to hand someone a craptastic picture.
Maybe something like charging $5 per picture but if a picture takes more then an hour to touchup its $30/hour after.
As for your request I have no problem with but I am still learning and may not be able to do what you ask it just depends on what it is. :p Appreciate the advice btw too

Re: Photo Touch-up.
You have an incoming message XD You shall now be my artist *nods affirmatively* and no worries
It's a rough world out there and not enough ppl can tell it like it is... hearing it in my marketing class was a HUGE eye opener and if someone had been so kind as to put it out there earlier, I'd have a lot more money in my bank! Glad you could use the advice!
AMAZING you found an image published that wasn't completely redone already O.O
