It's certainly not impossible :) They haven't yet started making new stuff tameable, except for things in the Jade Forest, so it's not like the lack of tameability is a bad sign.

i think its very likely that we will get Hydras eventually.
They did after all give the ghost hydras a hydra family and skill.

While this feature of the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wasn't exactly intended... - it will still be possible in future for everyone who wishes to tame this NPC to do so

I personally feel that they must be on their way, eventually. I'd be more skeptical if they didn't have their own family, but since they do I can't help expecting them to show up at some point. I'll just keep staying optimistic.

It could happen. I'm not going to say it will or will not.

^^ This for me too :)

To me they always seemed like one of the weirdest omissions. I mean, I know everyone loves hydras and I hope they become tameable, but at least they're kind of uncommon giant sea monsters. Basilisks and nice and compact, with big teeth and they're everywhere. It always seemed odd to me that they never used them. I do hope they do them justice though. They need a proper stun effect and stone and gems as part of their diets ;)

@basilisk lovers:

At least there's the minipet that's incoming with MoP. :D

There would totally be a picture here, but the beta won't let me in. :(

Not that I've seen yet or recall seeing on the minipet list, but then, I didn't read it all that carefully. >_>

Definitely too early to rule anything out at this stage, though. :D

I would love to see basilisks as well actually, especially for their Outland morphs. ^^ Well, a bit less Outland now that they're in other places, but seeing the ones in the Jade Forest really had me considering them as a taming possibility.
