I just saw this and came here to check if it was already posted. I'm so happy we're getting Water Striders, they're the next best thing to giant praying mantises. And since those will be sentient and certainly not tameable in WoW lore, they ARE the best thing!

Quillen give us BREZ, Water strider give us water walking, Crane is its own family apparently and no longer striders... the goat trample seems odd. You trample to stir up a dust cloud? When I think of being trampled, I think injury, not obscuration.

the way the basilisk ability is worded makes me wonder if it can be cast on friendly target to prevent them from taking fatal damage. that would be a pretty sweet ability and would take mad skills to time it correctly.

Water Strider

Still Water New: Infuses all party and raid members within vision with still water, increasing their spell power by 10% and their critical strike chance by 5% for 60 min. Instant.
Surface Trot New: Allows the Hunter and the Water Strider to walk across water for 10 min. Any damage will cancel the effect. Unlimited range, Instant.

Waterbugs might be exotics too. Man, is there a buff we WON'T be able to bring??

Also since crit doesn't stack, will there be a point in bringing a crit-making pet? We get it baked into Trueshot Aura - so wolf howl, hydra ..thing, etc, it's a 'wasted buff'. You don't get their buff -and- your buff... D:

Based on the abilities, and looks, I'll be taming a crane, Quilen (reluctantly), Porcupine and goat (should rams join the family)

I see no reason not to hurl stags, talbuks, yaks, shoveltusks and maybe giraffes (sketchy sizing though) into the goat family, the trample makes perfect sense for all of them. Even if we just get the goats that's something though.
