Subject says all. The colors are back, though!

Edit so the subject says it all...again. :D

I think maybe I like the dog skeleton on the stone ones, it seems to suit their posture and gives them a statuesque appearance. The cat skeleton could be good on the organic ones though. I wonder if they'd be willing to do both like that.

Sigh. :( You shall be very much missed, worg skeleton. This may be a dealbreaker for me. We'll see how it goes, I guess...

Too bad, i liked the worg skeleton since it gave them a very "statue-like" posture, oh well guess i'll have to live with that... :(

I actually like either skeleton really. The worg skeleton was a bit more stoic, I think, but I'm fine either way. It's the inorganicness of the model that may or may not be a deal breaker for me. The first thing I did was check my Quinlen and Goat to see if they changed color. Guzou matches my outfit perfectly with his new color. I transmogged this last night so had no idea. That sort of endears him to me a little bit more. Bukko is still brown. But huge!! The pics are in the New Family Screenshot thread. I wasn't sure if I should post them here or not.

Comparison images using one of my screenshots of the dog skeleton and one of Sesamee's screenshots of the cat skeleton:

Image Image

I honestly do like both skeletons. What really sold me on the dog skeleton was the stone texture though. Something about the way it stands upright with its head held up has a very appropriate posture for a statue, whereas the living models seem more likely to be agile and move around like the cat. My ideal compromise would be to use both skeletons, one for each type, but I'm not sure if they'd go to the trouble of separating them like that.

I wonder if the art/model department is just waffling between the two skeletons, or if the dog was a glitch, or maybe even this cat one is a glitch again and they didn't have time to fit all the other colours on the dog one yet? I'll be able to live with either decision, but I was definitely sold on the dog skeleton for the stone model at least.

They could use both skeletons. Just for different mobs.

Mind you, if I could only pick one, it'd be the worg one.

But...liondog fits my personal stable. xD

If I had to choose an organic skin...I'd be torn. The white has a nice asthetic, the red reminds me of Ifrit from Final Fantasy (resembles 8 and 10 most, imo).

So, are all tameable Quilen organic skins now?

I can see organic Quilen being more lively and using the cat skeleton, but I prefer the worg skeleton a lot more, especially with the stone Quilen. They just look like stoic statues. If any stone one are still tameable they would look terrible constantly moving around and yawning like cats.

I'm finding myself liking this family less and less. But damn that battle rez. Damn you.

I'm honestly finding myself agreeing that if they're only going to use one skeleton, it should be the worg one. Though I don't hate the cat skeleton, Kalli's right: the cat skeleton makes them seem like just another lion, and not much like their own species.

The worg skeleton, while also reused, wasn't as obviously recognizable as one, and honestly made them look like a brand new beast and fitting of having their own family.

I'm kind of hoping that this reversion to the cat skeleton may have been an error, since the dog skeleton originally only had the stone skin, and now that all the skins are back they're also back to the first skeleton.

Wow, look how much shorter they got. Definitely prefer the worg skeleton now!
