Which of your stabled pets is gonna see more action in MoP?

Unread post by swimgremlin »

With the changes to pet talents and abilities, do you have a stabled pet you wanted to use, but haven't for one reason or another?

My #1 will be my white wooly rhino Henry. He saw some action in early WotLK when he would go bowling for Alliance in bgs, but after the nerf for a bleed debuff, he's just hung around my stables taking it easy. I recently took him for a walk and noticed he's lost a lot of weight since wrath, (guess he was too big and obnoxious). Being tenacity didn't help either from a dps standpoint, and didn't tank half as well as turtles/beetles.

Second will be Bonsai my white hyena. A sta boost will defiantly be a plus for him compared to another bleed debuff/snare.

Pretty much all of my tenacity pets! :D

Honestly, some of my favourite pets always end up being tenacity for some reason, so as much as I adore them, I don't have much chance to use them.

Aleister and Reznor (purple crocolisk and purple warp stalker) are the two big ones that will be spending time with me after I turn them ferocity. :)

Ooooh yeah. A LOT of my favorite beasts end up being tenacity. x.x Which has caused me to not tame a lot on Mia.
My Rhino, Ponto, and my Jormungar, Teshi, are going to be spending a LOT more time with me.
Basically, the only pet that isn't changing from Tenacity will be my future dragon turtle. :)

Also, my wind serpent, Lucas. <3 I love him to bits but I really do not like Cunning. <_<

Pretty much all of my cunning pets, now that they can be ferocity (or tenacity - the brain bug silithid will make a sweet tank).

And probably a few of my tenacity on same general lines (e.g. ferocity scorpids? Yes I think so!) :)

At the top of my list, Zolom my fuzzy worm and Ironite my Warp chaser will be seeing more action. I am sure there are others, but those two I really love but Barret my turtle has filled the "tank" spot on my team.

I've never actually tamed a carrion bird on my main hunter. Looking forward to a condor tank.

I used to carrion-tank all the time when Carrion Birds were high armor. Now, I may make my CB tenacity and let him give tanking a try! My fire boar will also be getting a *LOT* more time out. In fact, he'll be permanently replacing my ravager; I'm just not a ravager fan, and Grinch may be beautiful for a ravager, but I still need the space. My worm, too, will get a lot of action (Burrow on a ferocity pet? OMG YES PLZ!).

I use burrow now as tenacity specced for as best dps as they can. On the oozes before Yor'Saj I hit about 50k on average. I cannot wait for the ferocity version too!

Pretty much I've always relied on my Ferocity and Tenacity pets to get the job done. My poor Cunning pets on the other hand, have all been vacationing at the pet spa.

So with the option to change my pet's talent trees at will in MoP, I can guarantee any Cunning pets of mine will be returning to action immediately!

Olm, Deth, Kirix, Blue Maddexx, and Jadefang are all going Ferocity and Ill be using them a lot more. My Blue Beetle is the only pet I use for tanking so I dont really need any other Tenacity pets and I rarely pvp so I have no need for cunning. :)
Going to make my rotation of pets a lot harder though since I can finally use just about everyone lol.

Any of my Madexxes, that I will spec as ferocity. I'd use them all the time if they weren't tenacity! I have Jadefang and Terrorpene, not to mention one of the new dragon-turtles in the future, for that.

I can't wait to use my white worm Morty in MoP. He'll probably be my main pet. I'm also looking forward to using my flaming boar (Inferno) and hyena (Pandora). Right now my main pet is a brown tallstrider (Cackle) who will definitely still be in my active stable :)

The tenacity pets are some of my favorites as well so a lot of them will get more use as ferocity or cunning. I'm really excited about the change since it means not only do we get so much more of a choice as to which pet we will use for what but it makes each talent tree important in it's own right. Cunning may end up being the pvp spec for pets whereas before it was really the pets individual ability that determined it's use not so much it's tree with the exception of Ferocity for BM pvp hunters. Eliminating all the useless "fluff" talents makes each one so much more important and makes that tree really matter.

It also opens up a whole other can of hard as I plan to have no duplicates in my stable. Whether skins or buff type! I thought choosing between my two Devilsaurs was going to be hard but as it stands now I'm going to have to choose between my boar and ravager. I finally get to play my boar! I've been wanting that for so long! Yet I adore my ravager and don't want to release her. Decisions! :(
