The thing I wish is that they didnt have some phases affect the tracks since that can make it really frustrating.. I hope they do have a small timer though :) 2-6 hours is good enough for these bad boys/girls.

Depending on who you're tracking, sometimes, they're just plainly visible without mousing over. My visual guide is here. :D

Groovy, thanks. I'm not too worried once my PC gets built again, but I can see it being cause for complaint if someone on a low end machine is just hosed for finding them. Although, I suppose that's part of why we make friends.

And that shell thing is cute. :D

We need to find someone to track down some tracks and then adjust graphics settings while looking at them. XD; That way we'll know if that affects visibility!

Still hunting Savage.
Saw some of his tracks...only to find him already flared out and a hunter already taming him....

Couple of updates with todays patch:

I found Bristlespine so this assume if its true for him, its true for all.

-Footprints are still bass ackwards.
-They are still elite, no silver dragon (yet?)
-Took a screenshot with ground clutter on ULTRA...
-And for fun, I notice Bristle was consistently leaving a new track every 12 seconds. That may just be his though.

I highly suspect that the rate at which each of the rares drops their tracks is directly related to how fast they walk. Portent is a speedwalker and his tracks are around the same distance apart as the others.

I was trying to find Portent just now on Gilneas and I found tracks but they started disappearing in both directions. Is it safe to assume he was either just tamed or phased? I haven't done any questing in Vale.

On the other hand I found Bloodtooth after only 5 minutes of looking. He was in the Eastern part of his range on one of the islands. This turtle is gorgeous!!

Basically what I'm hoping someone might do (since I can't do it myself) is find some tracks and then set their settings to lowest, middle, then highest while looking at them. I think the main concern is whether or not their visibility is affected on the lowest settings.

So some jackass orc on beta killed Portent while I had him tagged (he did it just be be a dick, he already had that color of Portent) and he dropped a Tear. =/

Edit: Which apparently was already reported. Yup I don't pay attention.

I'm going to be making a series of videos showing all the rares in action. The first in the series is an overview of all the pets, so if you're not in the beta and want to see them, this is your first chance to see them in action!
