Pure blood fire hawk 100% normal drop: FIXED

Oh, well that's probably not a bug. They nerfed heroic raggy again in 5.0.4, and knocked 11m off his health pool. With the fact that he no longer magma geysers on a stack of 3+ raiders then getting to p4 will be a lot quicker and easier, and p4 itself will be a doddle.

That's great news! I think they really did go and nerf a whole bunch of things in Firelands.

Alysrazor's tornadoes' on last night's partial run were... interesting, to say the least.

She spawned about 2, which rotated around for about 1 second before flying straight up into the air.
You'd have to be quite dense to be killed in her tornado phase now.

Heh, first time I tanked heroic Alys, I was tanking the chick in amongst the tornadoes (prior to the nerfs).

That's the reason that was my favourite fight in Firelands, because it was a good fight to show off if you were tanking

I doubt 100% drop rate is intentional. On normal? It's most likely a bug. At least I hope so. IMO mounts on normal modes and old content should have a very low drop rate.

Yah come Mop itll be low. So why not these last few weeks have one last hurrah. This mount has become my achilles heel I think, I got shafted out of it twice. Once I was in the process of buying it with tcg stuff, lost two items because the guy was a sham luckily it was just pets but dang.. then the second time the RL ninjaed the mount. It was on group loot, rag got down to 30% then he switched to ML and took it after rag died. He never said it was reserved.. Always always trust your instincts my friend.

Luckily before my guild broke up we farmed H Rag until everyone in our raid got the mount. I just like that some things in the game are rare or hard to obtain. I mean, there's a reason why the Phosphorescent Stone Drake is prized so much higher than, say, the Brown Drake out of Culling of Stratholm.

Every John Doe out there can't get one though, there's more than one or two things you have to watch for on that fight so people end up dying most of the time. XD

I'm not saying everyone can get one even now. Trust me, I know all about Rag mechanics and how insanely difficult that fight is. Or used to be, lol! I'm saying I think it should go back to being a rare drop, which it will soon, and that I'm glad this isn't the permanent drop rate. In the meantime I wish everyone luck who wants one. I know if there was an Aeonaxx bug where he spawned over and over again or something I sure as heck would take advantage of it!!!

I just killed normal rag hoping to get the mount for my friend and it didn't drop. I'm gonna assume they changed the drop rate again.

EDIT: I'm hearing that anyone who got the hawk during this 100% drop rate will have it removed. I cannot confirm this though.

Well it was fun while it lasted, shame we could not have another week at it .... but then there has been a lot of complaints on the forums about it. When I see some one on one now though, it's not like I'm all "WOW, that guy/girl must be in a pretty hard core/progressive guild, kudos to you!" (like I used to when they 1st started to appear) Don't get me wrong, it's a very beautiful mount, but "The snowflake has melted!!" quite some time ago regarding the ownership of one (IMO). So personally I can't see why some peoples panties are in such a raged twist.

Anyways, I guess if they removed it it was not intended, and we will just have to see how they deal with those whom managed to get one. Tbh, I think they may just throw it in the "To hard basket" and just pretend it didn't happen, with MOP just around the corner, they probably have bigger fish to fry, and to those who got one, gg.

I highly doubt they'll go through the thousands of players, try to shift through who has been running FL recently before the patch and who hasn't just to remove and possibly ban them (since, you know, it was a bug and exploit according to people on the forums, and omg everyone should be punished).

But considering Blizzard's track record, it will be treated casually. It isn't something that ruins the gameplay or cheats other people (like the LFR exploit that got that one raid guild banned for a week). It's mounts. Blizzard really doesn't care that much about mount bugs. They'll fix it, but they won't remove or punish people for it. Again, according to their history with bugs and mounts.

You should all know by now that GM's are not developers or blue posters. You can not expect them to know design intentions, or even that a particular bug exists.

Not it appears, as it's been hotfixed last night to return it to the previously low normal mode drop rate.

I think a blue post is as official as it gets for this kinda thing. Obviously it wasn't an intended drop rate if they just hotfixed it.
