Theramore goes live 17 sept afternoon server time

Just in case someone in this thread might know, can we do the event more than once? I need to know if I can do it now and then run it again with my friend tonight, or if I should wait for my friend if it's a one time only deal.

As far as I can tell, you can run it multiple times on the same character. I finished it on my Horde character of choice, and checked if I could requeue, and I was able to. However, I didn't run it a second time, and don't know if you will get the loot each time at the end.

what sort of event is it?

do you think I could dual-box two of my toons with a friend filling in the 3rd spot?

or are there game mechanics (like vehicles) that would make it too hard?

It was really simple. It's a 3-man encounter, and there's no need for specified tanks or healers. I'm sure if you're capable at dual boxing you'd have no issue. It's just killing mobs and mini-bosses which were pretty quick to take down.

I'm not going to lie, I was fairly unimpressed. I just didn't get any sense of this being the major event that's supposed to lead us into the expansion. It didn't have any of the weight previous ones have had. I just feel kinda "meh" about it. It was over before I knew it.

It kinda lacked depth. It was just "kill these mobs with 2 other people that are equivalent to the difficulty of mobs you solo in Tol Barad, except these ones don't spawn on top of you and murder your face."
It could've been about 10 minutes longer and maybe have some more interesting mechanics. For Alliance side, maybe we use the Skyfire that's been hovering over Stormwind for the past few weeks? Imagine parachuting down towards Theramore, shooting down goblins on flying machines all around you, etc.
Maybe riding gryphons and attacking orcs on wyverns. Not sure why I seem to like these aerial battles, but just running around shooting mobs with 77,490 health down in three seconds, with an occasional elite, didn't seem very unique. Not a great start to the new scenario system, IMHO.

See..this thing with MoP...They cant really do too much..we are supposed to "discover" it as we quest right? I still dont get why they added NPC's now..

I've spent a good amount of time running the scenario over and over...and yeah, it really does lack depth Alliance side. Don't know about horde, I don't have an 85 one. But Alliance side, we come in after the bomb, wipe out some horde that are at the docks and around the bomb site, and then that's pretty much it...Its very short, lacks any sort of depth, and the drop rate from the box seems low. "thank you for clearing out the horde, have some fireworks!" "..."

Isn't that in poor taste, commemorating the recent bombing and destruction of a city with fireworks?

At least Jaina put in a good showing dialogue-wise Alliance side. After what I heard about the book, I was worried - but she is a badass.

I kinda like Alliance better than Horde. Horde seemed lackluster to me while Alliance was going 'ocrap!'
