Well considering Northrend has quite a few rares that aren't a part of the achievement, it's well worth checking out.Loki wrote:Do we know if these are old-world confined? Any point checking Outland/Northrend? I guess not since those rares have specific loot and the achievement but you never know (Hawkbane).
I'll give it a shot if I manage to actually log in tonight.

G...gosh Blizzard, you are killing me.
I swear, if there was any guarantee of tameable Mushan, Kunchong and maybe even Sand Reavers in the near future -- you couldn't make me a happier hunter.
Also, the monkey with the fez. I hate monkeys in game, but that is just pure awesome incarnate.
If the arcane wyrms aren't the pets they were talking about on Twitter, then many faintings will be had before we're done, I'm sure.
I think they are though, and they're still pure awesome.
Blizz, Noah: Hats (fezzes) off.
Also, does anyone else think the amount of new rarespawns makes the world look a lot more.. vivid?

Re: New Non-Pandarian Tameables in Patch 5.1
I cant help but wonder if these rares are in part to help making levelling that much quicker. I know we dont like the idea of beast slaughter, but rares can really make levelling toons go a lot quicker at those levels.
I did a brief flyover of Tanaris, Ungoro, and both Barrens but didn't see anything. Makes me wonder if I am just blind haha

Has anyone checked on the fire dogs in molten front? There HAS to be more behind the tweet. Can't just be the serpents../:

Found a tricky phased spider in the corner of Arathi!
He's a level 28 green tarantula. He's tucked into the corner beside the Thoradin Wall. You have to be "in" the Hillsbrad zone in order to see him. If you move over at all and the game sets you in Arathi he'll phase out.

Yessss, more ghost pets! It seems like this patch has a little something for everyone, huh?
Starting to think my stable's gonna be full at this rate. We haven't even gotten to the supposed Spirit Beasts that maybe be lurking in 5.1, though.

I'm completely mesmerized by these discoveries myself!Caelan wrote:And why not?Sickhuntz56 wrote:Has anyone checked on the fire dogs in molten front? There HAS to be more behind the tweet. It's a bit iffy. I mean I love Arcane Wyrms. They're my favorite pet this expansion, easily.Quivering wrote:I cant help but wonder if these rares are in part to help making levelling that much quicker. I'm dangling between "These are not controversial creatures. Yes, they were noticed, but they weren't ever on hydra level or anything"
On the other side, they're basically dragonkin, something we've all been asking for, for a long time. So it could easily be what we should be stoked for (I am), but I'm thinking that we might get a peek at a more popular and controversial beast soon. I mean, Blizzard has a lot of aces.
