I'm sure that it would've shown up in some of my screenshots, but to be a little more exact, now not only do your ideal *player* levels show up in the basic map, the ideal *pet* levels do as well: it shows what level of pets are in each zone for you. *And* they're color-coded in the same way mobs are for players: grey, green, yellow, red.
I'm assuming the color-code is for your present party, as I only have level 1s. My copy was broken down to the very last character copy, so I can't check out in higher levels until I level my pets. Which I'll probably do, just so I can potentially test some things.

I tested this out, and can now confirm: the 'pet levels' that are colored on the map correspond to your present team.
With a team of level 4 and 5s, the 'zone pet' levels of 1-2 and 3-4 were yellow, while 4-6 were in orange. Everything else was red.
I changed the team to a set of level 1s. Suddenly, levels of 1-2 were yellow, and everything else was red.
