I had to take a few double takes and think for a while what the red 'fabric' was along its neck, wondering why the saddle was on its neck but then it occured to me that it must be its ear

My only problem with it if i start nit picking is that theres just too much armor on it. Its more armor then bat which really ruins the model. I was hoping for a bat that had a saddle, maybe just a couple armor plates on the top of the head, some on the thumb and arm and one or two small plates on the flanks, and -just- some chains or belting along the stomach and chest. Not full on spiked collars and plating around the entire head and the length of his back like he was a flying bat-tank ._.

On the flip side though, i honestly am really loving the armor from a artistic point of view :3 The colors really do pair well with the red of the wings.

Now, if we could get a 'lesser' bat mount like how they treated the Domination Point wyverns in that we can get the mount with limited armor, i'll go full on fangirl

Im also really hoping they'll pop some different colors with these models into the game.

Maybe remove some existing bats like the ones in RFK or Uldaman to bring in another color. Re-skinning those individuals wouldnt work since it would probably reskin every bat in the game using that particular skin but it'd be nice to pop them into pre-tbc zones in forms other then rarespawns since the species is in need of this makeover and bats are absolutely everywhere in the game. Its not like anyone will complain if an old model is removed from a dungeon and replaced with a new model. They can go to an area in the open world and tame the color of choice from the old models, since neither species is a rarespawn.

I want to see what's under that armor. It looks promising, despite still have holey wings. But the ears, wings and feet are looking good. So if there is a bat under there that doesn't have mount armor...it needs to be tameable

These babies clearly say "horde" to me, especially with their armour. Seeing them, I'm getting a strange feeling that Sylvanas is going to visit Pandaria soon... 5.3, maybe? And then it'll get nasty >D

D'aww. I wish they would've added an unarmored model. Ah-well. Those people who wanted a bat mount will be happy at least! It's just that bats could've really used an updated. >.>

Not trying to be spoiled of course, it's just a painfully huge opportunity they missed. xD (or potentially missed. It's possible they might still do it, I just doubt it. )

That is wonderful, an amazing improvement. I love those wings. I really hope it's not a raid drop, or Horde exclusive, but I have a feeling that the latter at least will be the case. I would love to see what it looks like without the armor though, because if we (the Alliance) can't have this as a mount (*puppy eyes*), then at least maybe it will become tameable in the future.

I found this in the files. The wings have yet to be fixt, but it's there! <3

(There's also a non-epic mount version. This'll probably the Undead equivalent of the Horde 5.1 Wyvern. Very cool! )
