My Arcturis

I need some help here...

Arcturis is an awesome pet, I love him and I truely want mine to be a member of my permanent family.

But. My hunter has that feeling again. Another pet is calling her.

But, I love my Arcturis, he completed my spirit beast family. I just can't shake the feeling of a new pet! I am so stuck on what I should do. Do I leave my sweet Arcturis to find a new pet? He has only one spawn point, and I could easily get him back...but I feel like I am abandoning a friend.

I was thinking that since we will be getting more stables in Cataclysm he would be back with me in only a few months. This makes me feel much better, but I still feel bad for wanting a new pet when I already have such a fun spirit beast. *sigh*

Am I just being silly? I hate letting pets go, especially when I feel that click.

I think go with what your heart says. I know how hard it is when you have your stables full but your eyes on another pet and then having to decide what one you want more. Its the same thing with me, araga, gondria and king krush. I really want King Krush now so I had to let my Teeka (araga) go and play in shola for awhile. And I will be getting Ceres (Gondria) back come Cata, so just think of it as a vacation for them if you like. But ultimately the choice is up to you, I am sure whatever you decide will be the right choice. What pet were you looking at?

If you've felt 'the click', I wouldn't do something you're not 100% sure about. I've been through it so many times, as have many other hunters here, and if this decision has even a hint of regret, I say keep him. Are there any of your other pets you're not as fond of? One of them that you feel you can detatch yourself from in order to get a new pet?

This might not be the solution for everyone, but I've gone back to my baby Hunter since I tamed Gondria for the 2nd time a week ago. I literally CANNOT give up any of my pets. Xena/Frëki mean the world to me, and I worked very hard for Loque and Skoll. Gondria seemed to be an easy choice to give up, I never felt that click until a few days ago, and it's weird to develop such a spontaneous love, but it happens.

More to the point, perhaps a hunter alt could be a solution? I've been craving new pets for a while now, and Cata seems so long away...This way, I can get a chance to tame whatever I havent been able to tame on my main. =) Just a little suggestion.

I was really looking at The Beast. I would love to try a core hound, and since The Beast will most likely be gone in Cataclysm I thought it would be nice to tame it.

I am very attached to my loque, Gondria is named after my kitten that got sick and she passed, no way skoll is leaving my side, and my ghost hydra is out of the question all together.

Thinking of it as a vacation is kind of nice. I'm sure Arc will need all the rest he can get before Deathwing gets here.

I hate the hunter dilemma. I really do. Such a horrible curse that effects some of us.

I say go for the beast. Honestly. Try him out. If you and he have no 'click' or no connection you can always take the risk of releasing him and tame Arc when he is off vacation.

I decided that Arcturis would go to Darnassus for a while and rest up, he needs it.

I camped all yesterday, and 12:35 am King Krush spawned. I was worried since he was really close to the camp, but went ahead and tried the tame, I got 5 attempts and was getting my cast time down to 13 secs! I was super excited because I knew I had this last one since I was expecting everything this time. I send in pet and just as he gets to Krush I notice dwarf hunter fly by and stop. I freaked as he started killing Krush, I whispered him twice but got nothing until Krush was dead at my feet, again. "Why? What did you want with that?" I quickly explained that I wanted to tame him and the hunter laughed and told me to go find a normal devilsaur that this one was no different, he then linked the achievment for killing all the rares and told me to "Stop wasting time and go get a normal pet, none of them are any different." I was shocked as he pulled out Arcturis, the spirit bear. My heart stopped I swear. I literally started crying. I asked him, " So, you can come here and kill Krush as I am taming him, link your rare killing achievment, and still pull out the spirit bear while telling me not to care about spending time finding a rare?!". He then said that he only spent a week looking for the spirit bear and that he liked it's skin. I whispered him back "So you can like a skin and spend time hunting the beast for a week and get him. Yet when you see a nother hunter doing the same you think it is fine to kill the beast they have been camping?"

It went no where from that, this is the 6th time he has been killed from me, and I have watched 3 other hunters get him. What is wrong with some people...

Ugh...I am so so so so sorry. I don't know what to say, that guy was just beyond rude, beyond mean.....

I know some will say that you didn't have King Krush "tagged", and that the other hunter didn't know you were going to tame him, and that's why he attacked. And sure, I'll give them that. But the second you whispered the guy and asked him to stop, he knew your intentions. But ok, even then, he still technically got the first hit in, therefore it was his mob (even though I'm on your side with this), and he wanted the achievement. I understand that, and I'd find that forgiveable, congrats to any normal decent person. But what he did afterward was just rude an uncalled for, telling you that you're wasting the time YOU'RE paying for, and rub it in your face by pulling out a rare pet. THAT is what is really horrible in what happened.

I guess, the bright side, if you can call it that, is that that's one less jerkwad out there to take your Krush next time you see him. I know there are just more jerks to take his place, but that one seems a bit more jerky than others. Ugh, I wish you luck on your next attempt, I really do.

And this just goes to show why King Krush is in my opinion the hardest tame in the game. The mechanics are similar to The Beast and Gezzarak (though I never tried her) and a couple others, but it's those other folks you have to compete with on Krush that's the problem.

It's times like this when I swear to God that if the other player was in PvP, aliance or not, I'd slaughter them. If I couldn't I'd find someone who could. Vengeful, oh my yes.

I hope next time's the charm. If I was on your server I'd be more then willing to help.

A bit of happy news! The hunter whispered me and asked if I would help him find Loque. Of course I agreed, I asked what he planned to name him. Got a laugh and was told he only wanted him to finish the achievment.

Now, I already have Loque, he is one of my favorite pets of all time.

As I told him I would help as long as he would hold up his end by telling me if he found Krush, he logged. * Note: I would not of told him, I was planning to whisper the other hunter that was looking to Aotona*

I mean the second his character vanished Loque'Nahak spawned right beside me. I had to do a double take. There was Loque, just padding back and forth between the trees. I was so happy, he may not be Krush, but Loque's appearance made me smile and gave me renewed hope. I told one of my hunter friends, and he was really happy as he knew the other hunter had really put me down.
I scanned around to look for any horde that might want to tame him, but no one was in sight. I then checked chat and /who for Shol. NO ONE.

I dismounted and walked around with Loque for a bit, and then I looked at him, a name came to my mind, and he was mine.
Maybe I am crazy for having two fo the same spirit beast, but he obviously chose me.

If King Krush shows himself again for me when the servers are back up, I will tame him. Yet, for now, my new friend is more than enough for me to be happy about.

This guy really has some stones, or is just completely oblivious when it comes to human interaction. So, he insults you, laughs at you, kills the creature you're trying to tame, then has the gall to whisper you asking you to HELP him KILL yet another rare, without giving you anything in return?

This guy, whoever he is, has issues.

I'm really glad you got Loque'nahak, even if you already have him. That's just awesome. Normally I'm not a vindictive person, but I'll be honest, I'm really glad that he didn't get his kill. I know he'll just steal it from someone else down the road for a few measly achievement points, but just the fact that he spawned right after he logged is pure win.

Bleh, that guy is bringing out a not-so-nice side of me, and I haven't even dealt with him.

Uh! People of this caliber make me so ill.... I wish you nothing but luck on finding Krush and nothing but ganking for our little achievement grubbing friend. You are a far bigger person than I would have been, if he had had the gaul to ask me that my very short ignore list would have added another mark to it.

I have to say I got the amazing pleasure of seeing The Beast tonight. Wow. I'm now going to throw a little monkey wrench in your chain. Kudos to you for taming Loque again. BUT! Go for the Beast. Seriously. He's just impressive and had I not just got Arcturis and been to his level I would have begged for the group to allow me to tame him or come back with me to help me tame him.

Another update on the case of King Krush.

I found him this morning at 9:00. I got in a few trys before I had a cat kill me during the tame. Luckily there was a priest in the Basin so I was nervous but asked him to help me. He was actually very nice and helpful! He kept getting aggro during the tame, sadly Krush patted into the camp..I distracting shot and ran did everything I could but he was killed by the guards.

I payed for the priest's repairs ofc and thanked him a ton. He was glad to help and hated that I missed him again.

Right now I'm going to grab as many haste gems and potions and elixirs and scrolls as I can pissibly fit in my bags! I refuse to give up now, I have seen him too many times to go out of the Basin without this beast.

*sigh* I am really loosing my hope.

Found Krush once more. I was almost done with the tame when a pally drops down and kills me. I got back in time to get him. but Krush died along with him.

I hate these people. I do not know what to do. Every time something happens.

8 times. It is really getting to me. I think I might just give up. I want to tame Krush so badly, but I can not take too much more of this I am only upsetting myself each time. What do I do? I am tired of all this heartbreak over Krush.
