while playin Leaf green....I've grown a new found love of Porygon......the little guy that usually costs an arm and a leg at the game corner......he hits pretty hard, he looks neat, and you get that satisfaction of buying the most expensive game corner prize in game (6500 coins in Leaf Green, 9999 coins in Fire Red).

Tho I do hate Chansey now (*start rant* stupid giant pink egg thing....why can't I beat the crap outta you with fire and fun and throw balls at you like a normal 'mon......noooooo you gotta be Safari zone and escape without hassle.....seriously.....does anyone else but me find that the rocks and bait do NOTHING to help you? Especially the bait.....the pokemon is just as likely to run away with the bait as it is if you threw a rock......and the rock doesn't really improve catch odds....hell....sometimes you do WORSE after a thrown rock......tho sometimes the rock actually does its job. I find it easier to just throw the ball at the start.....sometimes thats all it takes....*end rant*)

Illusion might make the Zoroark/Zorura turn into any random Pokémon, not just the Pokémon it's battling. Might. But it's gotta be different from ditto's transform somehow.
I am so stuck with the starters, haha. Sure, the game probably won't be coming out anywhere besides Japan anytime soon, but whatever. I just cannot decide between Extremely-Smug-Snake-With-Legs and Adorably-Stupid-Expression-Otter.

I've never played Pokemon, but that doesn't look very amazing. I mean, most games, even for handheld consoles have 3D models since a number of years back.

Well, considering that all Pokémon games up to this point have been completely static save for the attacks, it's a very nice change. I guess you just have to have played Pokémon to appreciate it, because it looks much, much better then it previously looked.
Plus, that's kind of Pokémon's style. It's simple and clean and doesn't involve a lot of 3-D graphics, up until now, in which they've added and are improving 3D buildings and such. Turning Pokémon into a completely 3-D game would be changing its appearance almost entirely (not to mention inciting mega nerd rage across the world). Plus, with this new gen, there will be around 600 Pokémon total. Having to create 3-D models for the environment, characters, plus Pokémon would be a huge amount of work, and I think the DS doesn't have enough memory to take it all with that added onto everything else.

Besides, the whole point of Pokémon is the fantastic gameplay! You can't judge anything by its looks.

xD not that I am agaisnt 4Kids that much but this is kinda...sad. Okay maybe the idea of erasing riceballs is because us western people wouldn't know what a riceball was.

Never that I'd say this, but I love my little brother. Long time ago, my Pokemon Diamond makes its way into our radiator, never to be rescued. Much sadness; I loved Diamond. Fast foward to today, and my brother decides to take apart our radiator to find a quarter.

He rescues my Diamond, it perfect, usable condition. Still usable, with my save file and all. Much squeeing and cheering.
