Finally went and grabbed the shiny Diagla today. Other than the red Gyrados...thisll be my first shiny LOL! In all the years I've played, I've never seen a shiny in game (going back to Blue and Red's release). I dunno how some of you find them so often.

Wut? It does? That's the first I've heard of it. I just thought the new area was based on Paris.
Yes but the two flagship monsters follow 2 of the 3 big animals of the world tree in Norse myths, The eagle at the top, the stag in the center, and the snake on the bottom

This is all fan theory not fact as far as I can tell. Until the Pokemon team says it is based off that I don't think we should go around saying it is.

There is the Gene theory too that makes just as much sense.

There's a Norse theory and an gene theory but the best thing I've heard is the coordinate plane theory. X and Y is 2 dimensional and supposedly the third one will be Z which is 3 dimensional and they're on the 3DS

So the legendaries are a deer and an eagle (I wouldn't even call it an eagle, just the child of Groudon and Lugia.) therefore it's based on Norse mythology? Until something official states that I'm not gunna believe that for a second. :P

Well there are other parts of the theory. There are 4 deer, not just one. And they each have a different color gem in the antler. Dainn has a blue jewel, Dvalinn a crimson jewel, Duneyrr a stone of the sun (yellow) and Durapror a stone of the night (purple/black
Xerneas has those 4 different colored horns on each side.
Granted my theory would work better if Yvetal wasn't a destruction pokemon since the snake is more likely to be a destruction pokemon since it is a trapped dragon serpent who is gnawing at the roots of the tree

News: pokemon-amie DOES effect gameplay!

Known effects:

1: New in-battle messages (Like 'Chespin is in a bit of a pinch. It looks like it might cry')

2: Increased Crit ratio

3: Increased evasiveness

These last two are unconfirmed:

1: Chance to cure self o Paralysis

2: Chance to survive a fatal move (think Focus Band)

Basically its either use pokemon-amie for the bonuses but get a bigger heart break if it falls...

or don't and keep your heart but lose the boosts
