So I just noticed there are 11 pages of triple rose dragons on FR... I'm wondering if I should even bother making my possible triple rose pair into Coatlz and breeding them for treasure. Doesn't sound like it would be a good idea on my part. I do like having a bit of pink in my lair.. But not if they're not going to be of any use!

I did this sketch tonight. I'm not putting it on the FR forums 'cause I don't like random strangers shitting all over my art just to make themselves feel good, but I figured I'd share it here.

The coatls are great, and I want a couple, but they're just so -cutesy- and -foofy-. I want something mean and rough and craggy-awesome for once.... so I sketched this guy. I call him a Grimdrake, which isn't that inspired but it's more original than 'Guardian' and all. XD

I would, but the last one I tried got so hated upon I took the whole post down. 'oh it doesn't look like a REAL dragon', 'we don't need any new familiars', 'it's nice art but I hate every part of it'... and really, I just don't want to deal with it.

Real dragon? Gunna assume these people have probably never seen a "real" dragon...I'm pretty sure none of the dragons on the site are "real"...or does it have to be drawn by Neon to be "real"? :/

Anyways, I still think it looks great! I loved his snarly-ness!

I think they're probably just Neon-fanfrothing honestly.

You know, the same people that rip apart anyone that thinks that selling an iri/shim imp for less than 7k indicates there's something wrong with the economy.

And I'll probably render it, yeah. Dunno when, I'll be out all afternoon, but probably.

Feeling pretty good about my FR lair as of late, got some stuff done! 199 gems away from shimmer for one of my draggies then gotta get another coatl scroll somehow and that's that for gem genes for a bit. xD

Bowno - If you like them yourself, then no you should not. But if you are keeping them in your lair solely to sell their babies, and they are not selling, then yes it's probably time to let them go. You see, while they are both very lovely, the economy is really at rock bottom, and most people would not be willing to pay whatever it costs for a seraph gene (130K or something?) for 5 common babies, even if they are TG. If they get LUCKY they might be able to sell one for 10 or 15K, so they would not get their money back.

We are at the stage where most of the dragons we have should be kept because we like them, not because they make us money. Some people obviously still manage to make huge chunks of cash with dragons, but I'm not one of them so I can't really advise you on how to do that.

You're dragons should not be worthless to YOU, just because other people don't want to buy the babies.

Nacht - I forgot to mention yesterday, that's a gorgeous dragon! And leaf/gold? YES PLEASE.

I have 'pairs I breed to sell' and 'pairs i keep because dargns' ... both. But Mo's right, the economy is so bad that I've seen DG imps for 4k lately. I pretty much flat-sell anything that isn't irishim or otherwise peculiar (like my cracklebabies) for 7k as hatchlings. If they don't sell (and few do) then once they grow up I post them a couple of times at 10k and if that fails I exalt them. I just have to be kind of ruthless and move on if things don't work out.

But like... these two.

They have kind of... awful babies, for the most part. BUT. I keep them because I am fond of them and they are my Bonnie and Clyde. (even though I don't RP on the forums.)
