Need a Better Relm

Ok I am TIRED of my freeking relm. I have been in 5 guilds in the last 2 months. Each have sucked. As a Lv 80 hunter I can find no support or love in any guild it seems. Anyone here know of a US server that has love for hunters?

I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I love my realm because the people are really nice for the most part and they're not as gearscore oriented as some realms I've seen. On the other hand, we're not so hot at pvp and the guild I'm in will never kill the LK (though there are several guilds on server that have). I raid with my guild as bm. My advice to you is to pick a realm from the timezone and data center you want and make a lvl 1 and go ask in trade what people think of it. I did that before I moved to LLane and found the home I wanted.

I actually started to make a toon on Nesingwary (dk), but when I got to org, people were requiring a certain gs and such for a voa pug. I might still roll there cause you guys rock, but I'm not a big fan of gs oriented places. It could have been a fluke too. What is Nesingwary like for the most part?

You'll have a hard time finding ANY realm that isn't obsessed with GS.

Agreed. That's why I'm so happy with my current guild/realm. GS is there, but not as predominant a some places I've seen. It's not required for VOA pugs, for example.

When I got my Dk to org on Nesingwary, that's exactly what was going on, so some do I guess. Like I said, could have been some douche pug leader/fluke type thing.

I don't pay attention to raid stuff as much, but Nesingwary's been alright for me on both sides. My ne hunter is my 80 main in the <Ominous Latin Name> sister-guild and I've never had problems with our battlegroup doing randoms; most people have been quite agreeable. I also haven't seen tons of trashtalk or immaturity. Of course, Sil doesn't hang around cities that often, so I haven't listened to much trade channel talk.

Horde-side has also been quite agreeable, but again, I usually talk with guildies--not trade. I've never had any problems on that side though. Plus, we have a few high-leveled guildies now, so you could probably get into smaller 10-mans with a number of friends and the pugs won't be as bad.

This is what I would do...

Check WoW-jitsu or similar websites for servers with a even faction balance or one that favors your faction.

Roll a noob on that server, and get yourself to a capital city, and see what the trade chat is like, and check for how often you have WG, and things like that, ALSO, check the AH economy, and see if it works for you

You are unlikely to find a server without GS or WoW-heros to check gear. Until Blizz does 10-man raids like they do heroics now, it's almost a requirement. The problem with VOA is that it is designed so you can skip to the hardest boss, which is designed for players with better gear.

Yeah, but the VoA bosses are so easy, you don't need the gear. There's a youtube movie of some guys five-manning it!

Overall, I'm very fond of Nesingwary. I've tried several realms (Madoran, Cenarion Circle, Eldre'thalas and Nesingwary) and my favorite by far has been Nesingwary. Of course, this is due in large part to the guild. But, I have had so many more random nice encounters and find trade chat to be less horrible. I can't say the gearscore/raiding thing is, though.

i dont think ive ever seen a GS requirement for VoA. Was probably a fluke.
Nesingwary is good stuff. Moved my pally there when i stopped raiding, recharged my batteries in Petopians, and now im raiding with a fantastic guild.

I can recommend Sisters of Elune if you like having Wintergrasp. (And play Horde) We have it like 99.9% of the time. The alliance has just given up. The other day had a fella with 134k hitpoints and 20 times tenacity.

There seems to be some requests for GS for pugs into ICC, but other than that I haven't really seen any. Tradechat is pretty immature though... Though not any worse than alliance side on Lightbringer from what I recall.
