Flying high on my Windsteed

When we lost our beloved store bought mounts and pets after the recent patch I was actually devastated why you may ask when I have many other mounts I could have used, over 145 on all 11 characters, but it seemed I was lost and felt I don't know empty. Sure I played those days to do the dungeon in hopes the rocket would drop but that's another story. Other than that I mostly sat there looking at where my mounts used to be and hoping that Blizzard fixed it very soon because my mounts were out there lost and alone not to mention scared. I was mostly missing my favorite the Swift Windsteed yeah some may say it doesn't look right or it is just weird but to me this is the coolest mount ever in fact my Draenei hunter has made it her official mount of choice no matter where she goes it is the first she summons. While they were working on it I prowled the forums more so than wanting to be in game so I was right there knowing when we would indeed get our beloved mounts back. Amongst all the hate spewed at Blizzard for this hiccup they did get it fixed and when I logged on after the fix I was never so happy to see my Windsteed back home. Many of you can say it is just a game, just a bunch of pixels how can you get attached to it guess my answer is simple I just did I had it since it was launched in the store and used it on all my guys now and then yet till my Draenei came along it was kept more so in stable. Guess the reason for this topic is to say don't take anything in this game for granted cause one day it could all be gone in the blink of an eye. Now if you shall excuse me it is time I head off into the sunset on my Swift Windsteed...

This is the mount of choice for my hunter too! It works well on both ground and sky and isn't too bumpy and huge. Plus I think it looks rather cool

I'm glad your windsteed is back and I totally agree-- fir me it wasn't a mount, it was my guardian cub. Tumble has been my Hunter's companion since the day I was lucky enough to find him in the auction house! I've drawn them together, Tumble has poked his way into RP and fiction and not having him there was hard; I would log in every few hours just to see if he was home again!
