Cloud Sepent mount changes?

Unread post by Vetiver »

I am able to mount them on low level characters with 0 rep, who use them as ground mounts. That would be AWESOME if it stays!

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they would remove the reputation requirements on them in the expansion.
I just can't remember where I read it. :?

I'll be waiting on the highland, with its wonderful serenity.
Where the stars glow and the brooks flow, that's my way of life.
When the mountains on the highland, and the nature is surrounding me, when the wind blows, that's all I need.

Yes, they're removing the reputation requirement in WoD, and ALL mounts will be able to be used on the ground since flying isn't implemented in the new areas (yet).

Ah, that explains why I could walk around on my proto-drake in the new area. :P

oh good I was hoping the rep requirements would get removed. I don't really like the idea of all flying mounts becoming ground mounts since some of them are very big and clunky on the ground. Like it can be hard to figure out how close you have to be to an npc to grab their quest if your riding a cloud serpent. Other than that sounds like a nice change.

Yeah, I certainly won't be using many of my flying mounts just because of how awkward they are on the ground. If they do end up deciding to keep flying gone permanently though I guess they wanted everyone to have access to all of their mounts regardless.

I think this could end up getting annoying actually.
There's always people who just have stand on top of quest givers, on their mounts. Imagine how it will be with dragons and the like. :?
But yeah, I agree with them being too chunky. Also below level 40, I always feel like I'm moving slower than a snail on those big mounts. (But of course, nobody forces you to use them). :P

well, no flying, plus dual-boxing = time to make myself a chopper!

But but Veph they are taking flying away forever! No not forever 5ever it's that bad! It's a conspiracy by Blizzzard, oh I mean Blizzorde to take away flying and force us to ride ground mounts!

I'd like to mention I don't mean any of that. I was just taking the piss about all those people on most Wow sites who go on about that

I didn't go through the rep grind to have my Cloud Serpent slither along the ground. I would never use it that way.
