Artifacts and what we know a wowhead article.
Just wanted to link this since seems to been over looked. Wowhead has a pretty indepth article up atm about artifacts.

Some things i'll point out that haven't been mentioned is besides being able to change the models of your artifact weapon, you can also change tints too.
Pvp can unlock variants of the artifact.
The weapons shown on the create demon hunter screen were the demonhunter artifact weapon.
Seems "just guessing" Arcane mages are getting a staff.

I love the amount of customization they're going into. And I think they really have to allow a huge amount of customization or people will eventually transmog them away. Because no matter how awesome they make Ashbringer look, it will start to look very plain if you see the same look everywhere.

I did the happy dance thanks to this sentence:
Yes in a sea of Ashbringers, Doomhammers, and the possible Rifle will be getting I can make my weapons truly unique!
Don't like your artifact's appearance? You can transmog over it--although you cannot transmog an artifact's appearance onto other weapons.

Only if "Truly unique" means 'Use an old model from a previous expansion".

Re: Artifacts and what we know a wowhead article.
Good news the artifacts have all been revealed. however people will be unhappy. BM get the gun BUT I am probably 1 of the few that likes the gun. Infact I like the artifacts I saw. my hope though for the gun is they have a wolf skin to match my Spirit beasts.
Re: Artifacts and what we know a wowhead article.
The BM gun made no sense to me. It felt like they were shoehorning in some lore to fit what is convenient.
So, I presume these are Marksman?

And these are Survival?

And the guns on the left are Beast Mastery?

Did I get them right? It's just that the guns (including the one that looks a bit like a crossbow) don't look like they'd all be variants of the same thing. :/
Maybe I still don't get it. Is there just one artifact (ignoring the model and art variants) per spec? Or more than one?

Looking at the various models on MMO-Champion, it's obvious which weapons the art team was really inspired by, and which they just "got the job done". There's no pretending that weapons like Ashbringer didn't get a lot more love and variation and creativity than certain other models. The fist weapons that I presume are enhancement shammy are downright pedestrian, all been done a million times before. But if the expansion is still a good way off there may be a lot more art development to come for them.
But I LOVE the idea of Naaru-on-a-Stick, though. Very cute

Looks like both MM and BM artifacts has at least a crossbow look each!

Ah, it looks like that thing that resembles a crossbow in shape is actually a gun after all.pop wrote:Looks like both MM and BM artifacts has at least a crossbow look each!

With Mimiron of all people making the gun weapon, I'm surprised they haven't said anything yet about Gnome Hunters. Cause you know, that would fit perfectly.
I'm not a fan of it really, wish they'd at least tried to make some variants take the form of a bow or crossbow so that people wouldn't be forced to transmog over it. Same could be said with the MM bow. Not that it's not gorgeous, but a MM hunter that prefer a gun is out of luck.
