Mana Wyrm naming help! EDIT: found
Haven't used this subforum for a while!
I was hoping to get some brainstorming assistance in coming up with a name for my new mana wyrm. I'm really loving this pet but I've yet to settle on something perfect. It's most likely a male, if that makes a difference, and it feels like my 'Nightfallen' pet. I'm thinking something related to...magic, or arcane, or void, or night. Those sorts of themes. Thanks for any ideas! I'm fine with all suggestions, they might lead me in the right direction even if I don't use them specifically.

Re: Mana Wyrm naming help!
Might sound silly. But if he were mine and I was going with the "Nightfallen" theme like you are.. I'd call him 'Evocation'.
Indeed that is the name of a mage spell, but I find it fitting. The Nightfallen need that mana, yo. And how does a mage regen mana in a bind? Evocation.

Siggy under construction!

I eould probably be silly and go with names like Twilight, Shadow, Midnight, Zhahadum (name of the place where the Shadows come from in Babylon 5)

Re: Mana Wyrm naming help!
It seems that "Arkhana" mean "magic" or something related in thalassian, it would be apropriate for a mana wyrm maybe.

How about Voidsinger, Voiddancer, Nightmare, Nightflare, Duskmana, or this place
Arian, Austen, Austin, Elymas, Gleipnif, Gwydion and Saehrimnir. they all come up in a search for names based on magic and male.
or i used to go with a site giving me names of gods and godesses, maybe start here Here

Arkham: after the fictional town situated in Massachusetts. It is an integral part of the Lovecraft Country setting created by H. P. Lovecraft, and it is featured in many of his stories and those of other Cthulhu Mythos writers -- not after the fictional asylum where Gotham's criminals are kept, although it too was inspired after Lovecraft's work.

Thank you so much everyone for the ideas, they're definitely helping, though I haven't settled on one quite yet. Feel free to keep suggesting! These are leading in the right direction I feel.

Aglis: This is a reference from the PS game Legend of the Dragoon. The colors of your mana wyrm remind me of the colors found in this ancient, magical sunken city.

Re: Mana Wyrm naming help!
Okay! After much deliberation, I think I've settled on the name Nocteus! Thank you for the inspiration Niabi, I liked the noct idea and just felt I needed something a little unique on the ending. And thanks again to everyone else, I'm so fussy with names but having the suggestions really helped!
