Yeah as I was saying sadly the lag being so bad again it didn't go well. Rather than waste more meat and narcs on her .............. she uh ............... sacrificed herself for the greater good if dino kind.

Anywho. Yeah it was changed in a patch not long after I started playing on the server. One of the other tribes, I believe it was Still I Rise, actually saved my bum by snatching a raptor and dropping it in the ocean. I was locked in my house. Now you cannot do that anymore. I get it. I do. I think they saw it as a form of cheating. In PvP servers yes. You most certainly can pick up another dino and other players not in your tribe. I've been watching video by Nerd Parade on their PvP raids. F that.

Clearly no shits given by this dodo! I really wanted to tame her simply because arrow in her head and all she kept strutting in front of my gate. But being level 75 as I am to her 50 it would not have ended well had I shot her again.

I could see not being able to pick up other players, but dinos? It kind of makes things a little unbalanced if you think. PVP servers may be more dangerous as you have other players, but they have the advantage of being able to snap up dinos and take them to a safe place to tame. Wonder if they're going to work on fixing it so it only works on dinos for PVE or if they're just not going to bother at all.

Yeah that's my new house. With getting the bronto there just wasn't enough room for my house being in the paddocks anymore. Hence the spiked walls around it.

Edit: The small stone building by the water is the baby fort. In there are two unlocked fire pits. The third was destroyed in my attempt to free the second hatchling but that was in vain. So. Get to rebuild it. But if you want to try your hand at hatching that's a option. I do need to move the third pit over though. It's too tight for anything else if a baby diloph can't even get out.

Its super silly to have it on in PvP but not in PvE.... As I run my own undedicated server i can just toggle it on under settings..

Aaand the volcano blew up.. and new dinos!! must have new dinos.. out to find alpha versions of them whee

I didn't see any of the new dinos yet. They kept taking the server back down so I didn't want to wander too far.

I made my own little Dodo hut. It's something I've wanted to do but I've been holding off until the outer wall is done, then I was going to rework my house and walls. Figured why not. Tamed two Dodo and threw them in there, literally. I wanted to see if I liked it or not anyway. I have to find level 20 Dodo though. I one shot level 10s. Not sure about 15s as I didn't find one that I liked. I might toss my two porch Compy in there, too. Getting sick of getting stuck on them when I hop up on the porch.

Oh, and zed, they reset points again. You can fix your booboo.

I sadly need to remove and reinstall the game... it takes up soo much space now because the dervs cant figure out to overwrite the old stuff.. it just put new stuff in .. blergh.. Hope I can save my char.. it would be such a pain to start all over again.. heh


Jup have to start all over again. At least I know where to build my base now. Perfect location I had going....so just have to start building again. Maybe in metal this round... or maybe start on a totally new map.. hmmm

Just saw the trailer.... Man it annoys med that they added a healing creative...and a luck Buff one...... These are dinosaurs.. not magically creatures... I dont mind Dragons as to me they are just winged dinosaurs... But a healing pig and luck buff whale......No..just No...

I wont be taming those but i hope its not a sign of more to come...because then i need to find a new game..,again... and just been through some games .. not much out there sigh.. hopefully they dont add more of these magic mathingies. Im ok with high tech scifi stuff cause thats technology.. but no to magic... for me atleast

Yay I can fix my boo boo! Couldn't believe I didn't put a single point into weight. Balls! Does this mean I have to redo all my engrams too??? I really hope not but I suspect with the other points being reset I'll have to do those all over again. I do like the new UI though. Seems easier to use and not cluttered.

Speaking of buffs. Which I think the luck buff is dumb. Guess what I saw on Nerd Parade's latest video??? A base they raided had a pack of Allo's. There was like 6 in the pack. And two had the bleed buff! The two females had fire on their backs. It makes me super curious now. I need to find another male Allo and tame it. Preferably two. I know Nef all but quit but I still would really like to get her an Allo. Specific colors though.

Tarn - Sucks you have to start over. You seem to enjoy building though.

Allos have buff for each 3 of them you got - but I dont see that as magic.. more of "the more we are the more damage we do" I watch the nerd parade too ..sometimes - it gets a little too bloody for me I do enjoy building and I actually look forward to explore the Center Map. I never tried that.

First simple shack build





Tamed my first dino.. Named her Tia. She is not here to stay as she is not an alpha but she will work fine as a transport/backpack for now. New challenge for myself this round .. i need to tame it via feeding... The tranq gun I always have to start with so this new thing is going to be a fun challenge.









With Tia I could scout the land around me more easily - made up a maybe baseplan



the high rocks COULD work as a wall base.. i think.. need to fly up and see if there is anything dangerous up there




just found out that wild dinos WILL spawn inside my dino paddock... so need to find a friendlier enviroment.. or put down foundation and ruin the wild foliage and metal spawn....


but question is.. is it big enough.. time will tell.. time to get grinding for stone


though not the most friendly neighborhood.. an alpha trodon nearby..




I know the water in the cove pen is deep enough to hold dinos because I stuck my head in the water to check





aaand picked up a trike egg.. yeah I need not to do that.. because sooo dead..one of them were lvl 300

Zed! Omg I forgot to tell you! I was looking through another base that had a bunch of Allos and they had females with the fire buff on them! You must just need to have a pack of two males + one female. I didn't want to mention it because we lost that girl you wanted the other day. I felt bringing it up would make it hurt more. She was the perfect coloration for that fire, too. We'll have to go Allo hunting! I wouldn't mind more as they are definitely my favorite of the big predators. Although that Yutyrannus when it gets released might be up there with it.

I'm sure you've logged in by now, but yes Engrams were reset as well. There was an issue with the Torch not being a default Engram and any existing ones vanished/could not be used/could not be repaired.

Tarn - Yeah I found out the hard way my first solo play through NOT to steal eggs. I took a Dimorphodon egg and got swarmed. That was one of the many instances I lost my level 60 raptor and had to reload an old save file. ><

I see the server is having issues. When I connected there were 10 online. I went to eat dinner, came back and was disconnected. Now I can't reconnect and there are only 2 people online.

I just tried to log in and couldn't. Server offline. Figures. I got the server time out message. Blows my mind the patch started last night and they still have to keep taking the server down.

Tarn - I love your building plan! Looks like the perfect spot for a mega base. *shudders* I don't even want to think about and alpha Troodon.

Seila - When you log back into steam send me a message? I need to talk with you. Seems our neighbors are creating mischief.

Man, this update really screwed things up. Having to make a new Torch every time I log in and then the one I had prior finally shows up, now bugged to the point I can't even drop it. I tried to tame a Pteranodon that I liked the colors of and.. it just wouldn't work. I had meat and everything in her inventory, she wouldn't eat it. I forced her to eat some, nothing. Tame % stayed at 0 while her Unconscious bar depleted. I tried taking it out and putting it back in. Nothing. I asked in Global, but only got one reply and they weren't taming anything so they couldn't confirm or deny it being bugged on a whole. It wasn't lag, either. I was able to interact with things, talk in chat fine... *shrug* Atleast she wasn't THAT pretty and it wasn't something I HAD to have.

I relogged and now I'm downloading an update. Hopefully this fixes things.

New raptor! The dark guy on the end. Plus my new Dodo coop.


Here's proof Snowball really likes Thanatos.She likes shorter guys with longer arms than her.

SADLGJSDGOAWVNAWGIN Seriously... this log in time is ridiculous. I just sat the whole 20+ mins it takes to log in only for my video card to crash upon log in? Really? No. There's nothing wrong with my video card.. its this darn game. Now I have to sit through another 20 mins of logging in.

Ha! I'm telling you. My egg production had tripled since my ladies got knocked around by that male bronto. In one hunting trip I came back to four carno eggs, two scorpion eggs, three raptor eggs , a iguanadon egg and a para egg.
What's crazy is I'd done egg gathering before I left on every one of the above females and all the others. I usually take a couple eggs with me when I hunt in case I'm out longer than planned & need to eat.
Love your raptors. I try to arrange mine but even on passive the get disheveled.

A 20 minute log in??? Man I'll quite complaining about my 10-12 minute log ins.

I've never actually timed it. I just know it takes a while. Mostly the Prim+ and then about another 2-5mins for the map after Prim+. Maybe I should time it next time.

That dark raptor is really growing on me. He doesn't have the bright feathers I'm dieing for.. but he's definitely handsome. Looking at that screenshot I'm going, "damn, he's a handsome boy!" It's a shame that lady I saw was stuck in the middle of a high cliff. I would have loved to have snagged her but without being able to grab her with a Quetz I doubt I could get her. And that's not possible anyway.

Trying to arrange them is annoying. I get them nicely lined up with the one next to it, hop off and they jut forwards of backwards a bit. I had to keep doing it until they would stay put. I have then just far enough forward so their tales don't clip with the wall because it's a pet peeve. I want to make stables eventually for them, kind of like a horse stable.

Trying to work on a trap boat right now. I added a bunch of walls to the main wall and now I'm going to work on my trap boat. I'm just itching to tame things. I watched a video on how to do the sinking foundation but couldn't get it to work. So a guy from ShadowCastors showed me how he does it. I've yet to try it because when I got back there was a pretty Tapej flying around right behind my house. Had she landed I would have Bola'd the shit out of her... even if it would take 4 hours to tame her because she was 80. She wouldn't land inside the walls. =(

zedxrgal - Alpha trodon is NOT what you want to see when you are only starting out.. which map are you guys playing on.. the center map i have is weird i feel.. but going to give it a shot.

Seilahyn - Whee gratz on getting a dark raptor. They are all very pretty. And two giant egg for breakfast !

and Ive seen multiple alpha trodons nearby and some badass raptors... which means they will probably spawn inside my walls.. i think




Spend some time flying around the center map with Tia - the terrain seams to be much more in levels than the center ark.. and some scary island... not sure what is in there.. i did not dare to check..

sadly Tia died so I had to tame another flying bird.. thankfully they are close to where I started so this is Tinku. He almost looks like Tia, though his wings are purple instead of red



I found a beacon with full flak armor in so yay


it annoys me that it dont start on center automatically but wants me to be on the island everytime....


btw i looove (irony) how they moved the admin tools to the top of the bars.. so now each time i have to check out something i log out instead.. yay man this is going to take some getting used to...

Tarn - If you plan to build your walls up along that cliff, you could totally do some multiple tiers for dino storage. Your fliers would work perfectly on cliff "nests". I don't think it'd be an issue for 200 dinos to fit in there. If you want to prevent things from spawning, just randomly throw down pillars or thatch foundations. They can't spawn within a certain distance of buildings so that should help stop it.

Aaand meet Rocky who was the reason I died.. alpha doed. Not too fund of his colors but he will do. He eats soooo much!!!




And look what I spotted in the wild.. an alpha Equus.. could not resist and broke my own rule and put a bola on her and tamed her by Dotame admin. Named her Flicka which was the name of my first RL horse. She is only lvl 4 so not ideal but will do for now.

Tarn - When I first started it was on the center. I really didn't like it.
I died almost constantly and there were bases everywhere along the shore so it was almost impossible to build. I left the server and went to my current one which is the island. The island you saw is called skull island I believe. From what I know that island is an excellent place to mine obsidian. Multiple levels I believe are done by placing ceiling tiles without four supports. It should clip to a wall. I can test later it you want? With having mainly alphas I wouldn't worry about stuff spawning. So far we have only had diloph's spawn when it comes to predators. I should maybe try the other maps again. Maybe.

Also been playing around on Flicka..I really like her and want a higher lvl version of her one day.









aaaand Rocky died... got replaced by Rockana... which is female and needed a saddle. New for me this round.. females will have purple and blacks saddle, males red and black

grumble about the bugs in this game... went to have something to eat ... and Flicka have apparently fallen through the world floor.. she is no where to be seen and pet finder cant find her either


On a more positive note I tamed Edward - he is no alpha, apex or fabled so not sure he will stay but for now he is rather pretty and Im super amused by his name..he is light brown with a gray and brown skunk stripe






Ohh and got an ankylo.. super genius name " Obs, Metal,Glass" yeah...but that is what he farms so I think he is a baddass, stone version





Aaand got myself a fire badass Ptera. Named him "Grilled Chicken". He also shows my two walls and my production hall. I wanted a dino gate in my production hall this round so i could ride the dinos in and unload them inside the house.
