So I hadn't found any note of it, so here it is in case nobodoy has noticed it yet.

I was wanting one of the updated demon dogs, so I decided to go out on live and pre tame them before the prepatch. Decided that I wanted the white one, which is one of two low level rare spawns that appear near questing NPCs, so good luck hunting them!

When into Karazhan on Beta and tamed the Phase Hound-the ghostly white version of this dog-he is no longer transparent. This may upset some, but makes things a bit easier on anyone wanting the skin.

UPDATE!
However, on the character selection screen he is still transparent. Odd.

It is an ongoing bug that has yet to be fixed.

Are they going to go back to being transparent or will they be solid is my concern? I prefer the solid look, but camping this danged thing in live right now is ridiculous.

We don't know. It depends on whether or not the bug will be fixed. It has been known (at least to us) for months now, and there have been reports on the Beta forums.

The upside is, pets retain their ID of the creature you tamed.

So even if it isn't fixed until 8.1, it will eventually get fixed and go back to being transparent. You won't need to re-tame the pet.

It's also entirely possible they disabled transparency strictly for beta so that people would be more likely to notice model bugs and such.

Downside is that I dont really want the transparent look-I would rather the solid, which means back to camping a rare spawn that is by a low level quest mob. Ugh.

There, I did it. I asked the source. Maybe now we can get an answer.

The work has already been done. About a week ago, Muffinus asked for a list of untamable beasts to be posted on the bug forums. I posted an extensive list, and he most likely saw it. Whether it'll they'll be made tamable in time or not is to be seen.

Doesn't hurt to ask on multiple fronts.

At this point, if it hasn't been done already, it may not be done in time for the Pre-Patch. They rarely push builds through on Saturdays and Sundays, and I don't think they would push another build on a Monday, so that leaves tomorrow.

They do have lists of pre-patch things that could be set as tameable, as well as BfA new-continent stuff. The lists were separated in case they wanted to prioritize the stuff that matters in the pre-patch :) I guess we just have to wait and see if it makes it in in time :)

I guess all we can really hope for now is maybe some last minute changes or hotfixes.

At least they can't say we didn't warn them. :P

Maybe Hati will be a surprise, but I find it more likely he's forgotten. I suspect we will get a single, generic event for the weapons going "poof" regardless of class or spec, similar to the Silithus event

Yeah, I have to admit that I can't really see them putting in something extra just for one class. To me it felt like we've seen the ends of our artifacts and I wouldn't count on getting special treatment necessarily, but it would be cool to see him show up somewhere maybe as a little easter egg. :) I suppose we'll see!
