Are Void Stalkers Supposed to be Tenacity?

Unread post by Jadein92 »

So I was checking out what pets to get to level on my hunter. I wanted a cunning pet and figured my void stalker would count as a warp stalker. But it seems to be Tenacity? Was wondering if anyone knows if this is intended?

perhaps because it's a starting pet it's registering as Tenacity?

Sargman (Void Elf) Terokkar
Serkrun (Orc) Dentarg
Untamabull (Tauren) Area 52
Sargmar (Blood Elf) Alexstrasza

Well, it shouldn't be, because it's a warp stalker. Are any other starting pets different than the rest of their family?

I created a brand new velf just to see if it was a glitch, and sure enough, the starter void stalker is a tenacity pet.

Might be worth inspecting every race to see what specialty their starter pets are now.

You know, I'm going to do just that right now. I really was tired of doing the first two bosses of UBRS ad infinitum ad nauseaum for a Lanticore Spawnling and this really sounds more appealing. I'll post results in a bit. :)

Ok, finally managed to stay connected. The other allied race pets check out fine. They're the right family with the right abilities.

Wasnt it that the Void Elf only pet is actually a different family on it's own? I think that some time some pet family Void Stalker(or something like that) was datamined. It might be that (s)he is a Void Stalker pet and actually not a Warp Stalker (even if they look alike but there are also some cases with carrion birds/birds of prey that share some models, or shared).

That can be a reason why the void elf pet is a tenacity pet and not cunning, as it might be a "totally different" pet family
