On a dog note, according to WoWhead, all 3 colors of Shadehound (the armor constructs in the Maw) are tameable with several flagged npcs for them. Now I won't be able to tell what the Torghast/Maw situation will be like. Hell, I'm not even on the alpha, but it is promising that, just like Maw Rats, and Maw Roaches, they're flagged tameable.
It’s hugely promising! Cross fingers they stay that way :)

You’re in luck! I found this one tonight :) It was in Mal but I went to Bastion to get a clearer photo.
Aw hell yeah. Glad to see the one I want is available.

Personally not too big on the Shadehounds and the Mawrats, but they're interesting in concept to me, still. And I do like the Maw Roaches. The idea of taming Maw stuff just sounds exotic.

Tameable guarm?! YESSS!

But really all those pets are so cool. I love that undead aesthetic; those skull chimeras are incredible.

I’m still cataloguing Maldraxxus, but it’s mostly pretty simple. The zone is roughly just a big square shape with the Theater of Pain at its center. So I’m just going around in circles, checking inner first, then cataloguing the outer areas which contain the various houses and therefore are more varied in style. Overall I suspect Maldraxxus will end up with the lowest creature count and it should be pretty straightforward.

Design-wise, this zone is probably the most familiar in style, because the motifs are very scourge and plaguelands, just with nicer art and cool new creatures. Bastion and Revendreth have felt the most novel in style, with Revendreth the most varied and Bastion probably the most uniform.

Maldraxxus may be simple, but the mobs, are badass, no undead compares to any of the undead beasts over there, like where else would have an undead chimaera or bull(tauralus), I still hope they’ll implement Eyes of the Beast soon, been checking shadowlands wowhead every day for spell info and waiting to see what eyes of the beast will look like in retail wow

Yeah I meant simple to check for beasts, not as in “basic” 😊

Actually, I probably should post a pic of the map:

The zone is mostly a big square, with the Theater of Pain at the centre of it all (it's also where you start). The areas surrounding the Theater are easy to survey, simply by circling it. The outlying areas (which are the more important ones, as they belong to the various houses) are in a rough pentagonal arrangement, so I'm just running through each now.

It's *much* easier to survey than Revendreth, which was all ups and downs and elevators and castle structures here and there. I *really* love Revendreth for its complexity, but it took a lot longer to survey :D

Hope Gluth ends up tameable, perfect undead expansion for him.

It’s kinda weird but I kinda think a undead devilsaur fits in maldraxxus, the maldraxxus beasts are so similar that the undead devilsaur, with armor or without should be tameable

I've finished my first pass of Maldraxxus and updated our database! You can see the current list of which looks are and aren't tameable in our guide: https://www.wow-petopia.com/shadowlandslooks.php

Just a quick breakdown:

Skullboars:
4 of 6 looks are already tameable. 1 is untameable but should be available by launch. 1 (green) hasn't been found in the game yet.

Death Chimaeras:
There are 12 looks total (6 colours, with or without horns). 4 currently tameable. 1-2 more could possibly be made tameable. The rest haven't been seen, or are on mobs that can't be made tameable :(

Stitched Darkhounds:
Just 1 of the 4 new colours (green) is currently tameable :( At least 1 more (dark) should hopefully be tameable by launch. 1 other is only found on a mob that is friendly, and 1 more (teal) I haven't found in the game yet.

Death Rocs:
Sadly, none are yet tameable.
3 of 4 colours appear on mobs in Maldraxxus and should hopefully be tameable by launch. The remaining colour (green) appears on a dungeon NPC, which means it may or may not ever be tameable.

Tauralus:
Sadly none are yet tameable, and only 2 of 5 looks seem to be in the game so far. At least those 2 should hopefully be tameable by launch. Maybe I've missed others..

Mana rays:
3 of 4 new mana ray colours are already tameable, and the last should be by launch. Note there are also two old Draenor skins that still aren't available in the game.

Helhounds:
There are 8 looks (4 colours, chained and unchained). Currently 3 (all unchained) are tameable (as hydras, which I think this is silly). At least 3 more could be tameable by launch, w/ chained brown on a once-off mob. Chained black is only found on friendlies

Spiders:
4 of the 8 new-model looks are already tameable. 2 more (in Revendreth) should be tameable by launch. The remaining 2 (red and dark green) haven't been seen in the game yet.

Also, the new mana ray that I originally described as "olive" looks really shiny and metallic in good light :) It's quite flashy!

This isn't really Shadowlands info, but I added the various wicker beasts to our untameable beasts category, see: https://www.wow-petopia.com/gallery.php ... ckerhounds

There were more than I thought! Maybe they'll become tameable some day, since undead-like beasts are tameable in Maldraxxus.

I'll get the skeletal raptors and devilsaurs on the list at some point.

I feel like the wicker beasts, except the hound are suitable in maldraxxus, and ardenweald, just like the devilsaur, the wicker beasts are similar to maldraxxus beasts, so I feel like now there is no reason to leave wicker beasts out, the hounds are constructs so I understand why they are left out
Edit:I found out the death rocs have stitches, just like the new darkhounds, if they are tameable, so does the bear, the cat, the stag, and even the hawk

There are Drust in Ardenweald so some wicker beasts could appear there. I may not have paid them any attention.

I saw a blond wicker saber with a transparent effect in a ardenweald exploration video from blizzplanet, and I’m hoping they’ll end up tameable whether it’s a skill pet or not

I added all the skeletal raptors and devilsaurs to the untameable models list as well:
https://www.wow-petopia.com/gallery.php ... talraptors

For the devilsaurs there are loads of variants, because of all the possible armour / helmet combinations. Fortunately each armour colour seems to be designed for a specific base colour, so at least I don't have to deal with all those combinations as well. :)

A few examples:

The skeletal raptors are much more straightforward.
