So, who here has Beta access? I see worgpower has it, but anyone else?
Normally, they ask creators for our recommedations for beta invites, but they haven't this time Otherwise I'd be tryign to get a bunch more Petopians in to help look for stuff.
I managed to get Beta, thanks to a friend. I've been evaluating the new trees and talents and posting to the forums. If anyone has any questions, suggestions or concerns please let me know and I'll try to post about them.
the Hati summoned is using the Light Blue skin. "Silver-Blue' in the petopia catalog. So far transmogging to the diff titanstrike mogs hasn't changed anything. Am going to poke at the actual titan strike weapon next. Far as I can tell the Essence Swapper is still dead. Nope changed the actual titanstrike to one of the other appearances and only the light blue hati showed up. sorry! At least Hati and Fenryr are neat looking. I am trying to convince Blizz to give them a bit more visual interest via forums.
I’m concerned about the tameability of the wild stormwolves in isle of dorn, I know it’s still early into beta, but they are classed as wolves but untameable, will other specs get lightning wolf too or will they be flagged tameable as spirit beasts, the new survival trees also look good so far
Edit - I just tested arachnophobia mode on blood ticks, they are not affected by the change

I'm in due to preordering. I'm slightly distracted with real life atm though.

I entered beta the same way, I know I spent so much money, I tried finding as many new tames as possible without spoiling the story. I’ve been testing skyriding and also reporting mount bugs

I got access, though I honestly don't remember what version of the expansion I got. I know it wasn't the most expensive one.
It took me ages to actually create a level 70 and get to the Isle. So many crashes and characters getting stuck as already logged in. I've been trying to explore a bit and look for interesting tames rather than doing the campaign and such.
Of course, one of the first things I did was to find mudskippers to tame to replace the default pets.
I also have beta access. I will be out of town this weekend though so I won't be able to help quite yet but I'd love to help next week if I can Wain. So far I have explored the island of Dorn. I was able to copy over my NE hunter earlier last week. I haven't been able to play with the new talents yet since they changed them. Let me know what you need

Yeah, both storm and cloud gryphons are still listed as elementals. Silly, really.
Oh really? I can already see that the expansion is going to come out and in the end we are going to have to settle for seeing them from afar and dreaming.
Yeah, it feels like a backwards step these days, especially when creatures far more elemental than those have been classed as beasts for decades now. But I'm still hoping they'll change their minds.
The hunter pets have been kind of lacking as patches came over time. First of all we only got one new family in dragonflight, then deepstriders and deepflayers were left out, now half of the good stuff like the gryphons, deep flayers which are still left out, and the cool bats ended up just being a harronir transformation. So far war within is still lacking in the looks department, this is the first time I’ve seen more older models in a new expansion than new models. So far my favorite pet is the threadling, I love running with it in beta.
I have to say my enthusiasm for TWW was never high, and it's only getting lower and lower. The lynx are awesome and I like the rams but the Gryphons were what I was most excited about. I don't like bugs, bats, worms or spiders. I hate the idea of being underground AGAIN. It's claustrophobic and I hate the aesthetic these sorts of environments usually have. I am happy for folks who enjoy these things they deserve to have their preferences now and again too. It just means there's very little for me to be excited about. I pray we get to go to the Arathi home land soon and that the flying cats will dot the landscapes and be tameable. Light and void based (non rock / primitive) creatures would be awesome.
The slowness of including non-evoker Dracthyr in promotional material or the beta, comments made by Ion make me really concerned about the future of the dracthyr as other classes. It's sounding more and more like they are going to utterly destroy what I love best about them. Like they are going to require them to be in Visage form most of the time because that's the easiest way they can counter the 'this race has access to wings and tail' 100 percent of the time. I don't want to play yet another version of elf. I want a dragon.
Please Blizz just give us the Storm Gryphons. They are so beautiful ! If something is a mount there's absolutely no reason why it can't be a hunter pet.
I have to admit that I'm not all that optimistic about TWW so far. I, too, am not a fan of underground environments and, so far, the only new pets I've gotten excited about are the mudskippers, just because they're so wonderfully derpy.
I agree with Talihawk about Dracthyr. I don't want to play an elf that turns into a dragon. I want to be a dragon. I don't use the visage form on my Dracthyr now at all. I might, if they could be something other than elves. I'd hoped the Emberthal questline in DF was foreshadowing being able to have other races for a visage, but that didn't happen.
We all are starting to getting off topic here, but I agree dracthyr should stay in dracthyr form, gotta remember blood/void elves and humans are playable as their own race and dracthyr visage forms are just that. Dracthyr don’t really fit into any other classes except for evoker, warrior and mage. I like the aesthetics of Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet, but I’m not a fan of ringing deeps, it’s too tight and extremely laggy and object heavy, and isle of dorn is just a dwarven ohn’ahran plains. It’s hard to have high hopes now for good hunter pets nowadays
