Dire Beast spell Occasionally Summons a Deepflayer, will they possibly become tamable in the future?

Hello,

I thought I was seeing things and since no one has mentioned this in the forums here and I did happen to see someone mention it in the Blizzard forums seeing exactly what I did, using Dire Beast occasionally summons a Deepflayer to fight for you.

Now, I realize right now it is untamable but Blizz has been known to do things like this as an easter egg to things to come. Any word on whether or not these may become tamable in the future?

I am dying to find out. It has been years since I posted here and I am really hoping that they will do some kind of secret taming of it as it is one of the coolest looking beasts in TWW.

I think that it was mentioned back in the Beta thread about Deepflayers being summoned by Dire Beast, but it was a brief mention.

As far as we know, there aren't any plans to make them tamable. Due to the current situation with how Pets are added/implemented (some people that work on it when they have time rather than a single person that is strongly dedicated to it), we have to keep our expectations in check.

That said, if Deepflayers had a way of currently being tamed, they would still be flagged as tamable in the database, even if we didn't know how to currently tame them. They aren't, and so there isn't any way to tame them right now.

Thank you for your response! I did do a complete forum search for Deepflayer prior to posting this. Someone did mention they would like to see Deepflayers as tamable but that was all I could find.

As far as expectations go, I understand they are listed as untamable right now but this is just Season 1 of TWW often more pets are added although some are removed as well. Is it really that bad to hope they might include them in a future update?

No, there isn't anything wrong with hoping that they get added. Hopefully they will.
