Personally I'm sad to have gotten rid of a few pets on my many hunters after the pre-patch dropped. I think a lot of the new models are gorgeous (though the hyenas and the demon dogs seem a bit.. odd) but many take colors I'd adored and just changed them completely. I had a beautiful white wind serpent and black-orange skeletal spider, but both succumbed to huge changes in their usual color schemes. Such amazing colors, now in completely dull hues.

I'm also fairly displeased with my blue Karkin, but I'm hoping that glitch can be fixed soon.. if ever.

Anyone else disappointed that none of the cursed animals in Drustvar are tameable? There's bloody rabbits, birds, pigs, wolves and deer with spooky glowing eyes, bears and foxes with brambles and fungi growing out of them, and wicker constructs that look like dogs - none of which keep their looks when tamed if they can be tamed at all. It seems like there's very few significant new pets on the alliance side at all, the only notable thing i've seen so far is bees. That coupled with no rares at all this expansion is kinda making me regret buying it.

For some stupid reason, I got rid of the ghost sabre I got way back in the day. So I decided I wanted to pull it out and realized it wasn't there. So, I went to darkshore to find one. Finally did and my pet (who won't stay dismissed) killed it! ;;

Random groups from other invasion types can spawn on the island. I'm sorry that you weren't able to tame Skycrack.

ah, well, I decided, feck it, I'll try Huolon. maybe I'll get lucky and no one will be farming. a lightforged came by and danced with me for a few seconds before logging off, perhaps knowing what I was trying to do (hunter with no pet out, standing directly on spawn). shortly after tho, a vulpera mage partied with me, so I asked them to hold off just once so I could tame, but they said the mount trumped a hunter pet. I stayed partied bc I figured maybe I could tame somehow before they got a hit in, or would get lucky for the mount.

and wouldn't u know it, I did get lucky. Huolon bugged at spawn and we couldn't hit it, so I looked up wtf was up quickly and discovered that if u run far enough away for a mob to despawn on ur screen, it "resets" it for u, so the vulpera was staring at a mob that it couldn't hit while I ran after the now un-bugged Huolon, and managed a tame up the road without them even figuring out what I'd done. at which point we both found out that u still get the loot even if it's tamed, so we both had a chance at the mount, regardless, so I passed on what I'd found for their farming purposes.

(neither of us got the mount, which is fine by me, as even tho I want it for collection purposes, I prefer the heavenly to thundering variants. have an elemental theme for my earthen, tho, so want the thundering pet and black is my fav shade now the white one can't be tamed w/o a toy I don't have. I feel like the vulpera not getting the mount this time around was some kind of karma for not wanting to let me tame.)
