Hunters Mark in Delves

Unread post by Boven »

I finally got around to doing a few delves over the weekend. I went in with another hunter, since we both wanted to 'do 3 delves' quest.

I noticed that when putting Hunters Mark on the bigger tougher mobs and the bosses, it would pull them. At first, I though it was just me, but I don't have Hunters Mark macro'd in with anything or even hotkeyed. So I asked my friend to try. Sure enough, it was pulling when she applied it, too.

It doesn't happen with the regular trash mobs. I could mark hyenas and such without it pulling.

Is this something new?

It may be one of your trinket's proc'ing off the mark. I've had it happen to me in raid.

I dunno. We both tried it on the tougher mobs as well as a number of the 'lesser' ones (hyenas, random Fungarians, etc) It was consistently happening only on the bigger ones, like the end boss and the goblins in vehicles.

I tested this today and my hunter's mark is not pulling anything on its own.

Two friends and I ran a few painful 11s, and we had a mixed bag. My two friends went in first, creating the instance and using their Branns. No problem with Hunter's Mark at all. When they realized I almost nolife'd season 1 and almost had a 56 Brann, I was put in charge of going in first. Then, hunter's mark started pulling again. My Brann is a healer, and has rank 3 mecha devilsaurs and rank 2 of the cloning relic (forgot its name, but the one that copies an elite at 40% health). My friends run DPS Brann, so it could be either of the relics, the specific combo of the relics, or just healer Brann in general. We took a break after doing an 11 Mycomancer run that made us want to slam our front tails with a car door, but I'm certain it's related to one of these things. I don't know WHY it would be one of them, but that's all I have to go on until Blizzard admits they goofed somewhere.

We had Brann as a healer as well. The other hunter was the group lead, so I don't know what level her Brann was. Seems odd his role or level would play a part in something like that, but who knows?

It's the Bioprint Curio of Brann's. I reported it in the Bug Report forums a few days ago and the people there narrowed it down to the curio. It also makes Frost Trap aggro, and apparently extends to other things like Imprison for DH and such. Things that SHOULDN'T be aggroing.
