Void Warpstalker w/ Purple Aura may be entirely unobtainable right now

To be clear, I mean the void warp stalker with a purple aura.


In the War Campaign prior to Lingering Shadows, a battle erupts in the area these are found in. Afterwards, the native wildlife in the area is replaced with scavenging nerubian worms, with untargetable doodads of dead wildlife in the area.

Issue comes that this pet only exists in that area. I tried to look with another character on my account, quest syncing with a trial account, and sending a friend to look (said friend had not completed the war campaign and had only gotten to Ringing Deeps before just dungeon spamming to level cap), and all of these turned up with nothing but the corpse doodads.

There's still the void warp stalker with a blue aura that looks nearly identical save for differing coloration, but the warp stalker with a specifically purple aura appears to be currently unobtainable until further notice.


If you're available to check, it'd help if you could go look in the area bordering Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet and report back if you're able to find anything to contradict what I'm saying here.

Using some... questionable tricks I've learned over the years, I entered the zone through several means and used various methods to arrive at the location of these poor warp stalkers. No matter the approach, no matter which zone I enter from, and no matter which questionable trick I use, the warp stalkers are all either dead or unloaded (as in, nothing loads in). I also checked with a fresh 80 that has never done any quests in The War Within (praise be the Timewalking grind), and I also see the worms. The story quests added to Hallowfall have completely changed the zone, much like Undermine changed the size of the Ringing Deeps. There's no way to get Gloom Stalker or Umbral Stalker now, unless there's one in some obscure location that's been misplaced.

Since I had cleared that zone on my hunter and saw the warp stalkers all dead with only a few of the griffons roaming around(not tameable), I decided to swap characters. Tried it with multiple characters, a few that only did the campaign quests while passing thru the zone, while a couple of that hadn't even stepped in that zone at all. Even my lvl 70 hunter who's been sitting in Dornogal for months and hasn't even started any quests. Still, the void stalkers were all dead each time.. I ran the Delve thats nearby, nothing.

Either, by doing all the quests on my main hunter has ruined it for my second hunter and they've been phased them out account-wide due to warband progression system, or there might be bugged/glitched unintentionally..

I'm just going through to remove all the other NPCs in the area that were killed off in 11.0.7.
