My main goal, yesterday, was to get to level 12 ASAP, portal to Dalaran, run up to Silverpine, and camp for Coldrasp... and camping there 'forever' until I do while leveling alts.
That didn't happen, because life got in the way.
However, this morning after the servers came back up, I jumped online, leveled from 11 to 12, and began my journey. I tried a new direction by attempting to jump off the top of the Purple Parlor in Dalaran and float down with my Skyborne racial. Big mistake. I ended up dying multiple times after landing in a patch of level 17s, then more deaths to Murlocs. Not fun.
I finally end up at the mushroom circle and there are two troll hunters running around. I decided that I'll need some wolf meat to feed Coldrasp if I ever tame him, because I was dumb and didn't bring meat with me, so I tamed a normal rabid wolf and killed two other wolves for the meat. I sent my wolf to attack a third wolf when Coldrasp spawns between me and the other wolf, a bit off to the side. I had only been in the area for a few minutes, and he was right there in front of me with at least two other hunters nearby.
Panic ensues.
Luckily I was able to put my wolf on passive before it agro'd the rabid wolf, and I quickly released the wolf I tamed less than two minutes ago. I hit Coldrasp with a serpeant sting for agro, concussive shot, and began taming.
Suddenly, one of the troll hunters walks up and stares at me taming Coldrasp. I though for sure he was going to kill him, or at least fight for agro.
He did not!
Halfway through taming, the other rabid wolf that I almost attacked comes up starts hitting me. My health is going down in chunks as the other hunter watches with delight, and I realize that after all my deaths I forgot to put Aspect of the Monkey on for dodge. Dumb!
On my last sliver of health, I complete the tame, Coldrasp is MINE!
Then, Coldrasp turns and bites the rabid wolf right before I die, saving my life. I quickly run off to the side and arcane shot the rabid wolf and my new pet and I finish it off quickly. I feed him some meat for being such a good boy, then eat some cheese to regain my health.
Our story together is already amazing, can't wait to level up with him!
