Did I mess up?

So.. earlier, in a sort of rush...

After spending 3 days trying to get him, and having him from level 50 to 80...

I released Kamu, my OCJ.

My main reason for doing this was because i wasn't really feeling like i CLICKED with him.

I love him, i do, he's my favorite worg model...

but through those 30 levels.. i didn't feel that...
bond i guess. you know what i mean?

Well..... now i feel awful about it.
Like i just threw away something important.
but at the same time i don't want to 1) camp him again and 2) have him rot in my stables again :c

well
anyway.. i'm coping i guess.
i have a few questions though.

- How long did it take most of you to find your 'bonding' pet?
and did you go through a few different pets/release a few special ones in order to find your 'TRUE' pet?

- Anyone know if OCJ is becoming extinct come Cata?
If so i don't want to lose him for good.
he was always my favorite wolf, and i always bonded with him before.
maybe it's my blood elf, i'm just not feeling OCJ this time around.

but i do want him if he's disappearing :\

well that's my problem i think.
i DO like him, i just didn't BOND with him like i usually do.

and i don't want to waste my stable with two wolves if he's not going to be extinct in cata, you know? :C

i do totally agree though..

and if i find myself missing a little gray wolf, i definitely will go retrieve him again, even if it takes another 3 days :p

for now i don't know if it's worth it though lol

Yah I would do that, but I think I would start camping 2 to 4 weeks before Cata, just in case u have other campers in ur camp grounds

Well, as cliche as it is, the saying "You don't know what you have until it's gone" (or something along the lines of that) comes to mind. Keep in mind that we're getting a truckload of new stable slots come Cata, so I'm sure that you'll have enough to spare.
However, your wording makes it sound as though you've tamed him before on another hunter. If that's the case, maybe you're just bored of the skin. Try giving other wolves a chance and see if you like those. If none of them click either, then I'd say go back to OCJ if you like him that much.

I know the feeling - I got myself a handsome Shattered Hand Warhound once, but after a few levels... it just wasn't the same thing. Instead I got the barking wolf, and I liked him much, much better. It could end up being the case for you, too.

Unfortunately, I have no access to the Beta, nor have I heard anything about Cliffy in Cata. However, as seen on this map preview, the Hinterlands in going to be largely untouched (save for a level bracket change), so I would guess OCJ will be okay.

i went through alot of different pets for my last 2 slots i finally decided on OCj but that last one i had a hard time with. I went through SO many pets it isnt even funny. I got a sporebat named him george liked him but got rid of him. got some other pets and found myself still thinking and missing george. So i went and got him back and I am happy now i feel if you two were meant to be, you will know because you will never be able to stop thinking about him and it will bug you forever. but that my opinion

yeah, i've had about.. 4-5 hunters leveled across different factions/servers... i get him on every character.
maybe i am just tired of the skin for now :/

I actually have been using the barking dog since 10, also, and i still have him. I get him on most of the hunters i've had too, but i've never gotten.. bored of him. not sure why :C

i think i'll chill around for a while, see if i start yearning for Cliff again. whether i do or not, i really hope he's still around in cata, he's a good lookin' wolfie^^

Yeah, I think it can be easy to tire out of one particular skin if you use it on multiple hunters. I try to keep every one of my hunters with unique stables, I don't overlap specific pets so I have as much variety as possible.

If you don't mind suggestions, these guys are quite the handsome fellas as well! They've also got Cliffy's bright green eyes, if that was one of the reasons you like OCJ's look so much.

I allways liked wolves and went thru quite a number of them, starting with Timber, a white worg from Dun Morogh then the black models in Duskwood they were just pets really, had a few cats too on the way then at around lvl 44-45 i got myself a Vile Branch Wolf pup from the far end of the hinterlands. took her back to SW to show some guildys and she did her howl for the first time.

ever since then we havent been apart, other pets came and went and others have stayed but fluffy has been with me since then and that was about 4 and a half years ago, i couldnt ever part with her.

she was the first pet i bonded with and is still the number 1 goto pet.

I guess the point is. when you get the pet that is the one he or she will do something, something probably small and unobtrusive such as howl and itl click, if OCJ didnt do that then maybee he`s not the one but dont give up hope, cos he`s out there waiting.

i'm still using the brown barking wolf often, the bark is so cute to me lol

i'll test out the red wolf again, and maybe try taming some other pets in the meantime.


and yeah, veph, i wish i did that lol. the problem before is that i never leveled any of the other hunters that high, maybe to the 50s-60s, so i kept trying to get the same pets instead of 'spicing it up' a little.
my mistake, but i guess i know now :c

Aye variety is the spice of life. I'd recomend the black worg skin (when i mean that i mean the same skin type as OCJ etc not the saber ones) Its a nice skin too.

i went and checked out the red wolf for a while.. but i ended up shunning him and sticking him away.

I think my problem, though i do LOVE the colors of both the red wolf and OCJ.. is that i don't like the worg model much.

Maybe it's the teeth.

Anyway... I really really do like Vertigo, my gondria.
I think i'll be sticking with him for a bit.

I wanted a wolf i could click with for when i switched to survival though.

Maybe the red wolf (no name yet) needs some time with me or something.

I have found myself missing my old white winterspring frostsaber cub though.
But every cat i've had and DPSd with has had substantially less dps than the wolf or spirit beast. are my cats just bad or is anyone else having this problem? lol

While i do like her, i care about my DPS a lot too.. ;C

So... i went to winterspring.. and i nabbed myself a purple winterspring frostsaber.

Her name is Lili.

I love her a lot, but she's been sitting in the stables unleveled.

This though, is because i've went ahead and gave red wolf another chance. He still has no name (i can't think of one!)
but.. i went on a quest to get my worg pup.. and although he's a different color than the pup, the two of them look darling together, so i've grown pretty fond of him c:

i think he'll end up being my new main doggie for a long while.

(i'll still take nono out occasionally though)

it's not a great picture, but you can see them both at least.

now i need to find a name for my furry friend :p

Blizzard is cool, and because i was asked to hold onto someone's (whom i know) gold, i had given it to a character i had transferred to a new account..

I got kicked off today, and i freaked out, because no matter what i did, i couldn't log on, because it said my password was incorrect.

Well i had been hacked before, and in a scared fit i rushed to change my password (thankfully i was still logged onto my battle.net website and i got it changed!)
well, i try to log on, and it tells me i've been SUSPENDED!

UGHHHH, i was so upset.

so i get an email saying that they think i'm a GOLD FARMER.
canyou believe it?

i hate farming :c


so i'm not allowed to play for 3 days, and i'm pissed.

i just hope they don't perma ban me, i put a lot of work into my characters :|

so my boyfriend got into a raid that i wanted to go on on my paladin (but i can't of course cuz of the suspension)

i had been trying to get the shield off marrowgar for weeks.

the loot gods are fickle, they make hunter loot drop when you're on alts, and stupid plate drop when you're on hunters. the only time I've beaten them at their own game was when i joined the raid as a Dk and then switched to the hunter. Mail as far as the eye could see. it was glorious.
*Disclaimer* There is no such thing as loot gods. Random number generation is random.

As far as bonding with pets goes, I'm not much of a believer, but I do know i have my favorites, either by rarety or the effort put into the tame. My Grimtotem Spirit Guide, Journey, will always have a place in my heart and at my side, and the superiority of wolves as raiding pets during this expansion was jsut icing. When it takes a metagem, a carefully selected team of guildmates, and over an hour of frustrating attempts where my stellar guildies stuck it through. Journey is not just my pet, he's the guild's pet.

Crap, I guess I do beleive in bonding.

Ugh, i wish i could be bonding with mine right now, but i'm still 'suspended' for no reason, and i'm still furious.

i've been drawing a lot at least, but i'd much rather be gearing up and raiding ~_~
