I.. will still miss volley. Mostly cause by time its finished volleying the cooldown is up and you can just hit volley again. It.. was my dps *snicker* I enjoyed it alot to see my hunter go up to 15k-17k. Multi shot looks cool now. I am glad they fixed but I heard that the new dungeons are going to be hardcore so again we may be ccing alot and I heard kiting is coming back! Wow.. I just thought back about General in UBRS.. the kite across the bridge, into the beasts room. It was epic.

Really alot of new hunters from Wotlk will be having to relearn alot more of there class. Considering in ICC the mechanics are alot of tank and spank. Just pew pew and volley the trash. Besides Saurfang and dream walker which gives a fun, kite the blowing up zombies. So though ill miss volley.. hopefully MS will be better then it.

Fun fact: with the aid of Fervor, a BM hunter should be able to spam multi-shot for the entire duration of TBW without running out of focus :)

After that, it will be a matter of mixing Cobra Shot and Multi-Shot for AoE packs.

I will miss volley on my MM hunter - especially times when I'm close enough to combine it with an improved exp trap <3

But that being said it seemed a little "too easy" to just stand there spamming volley - especially as that tends to put my hunter on the top of the DPS chart, which leaves me feeling a little dirty...

Improved traps are in survival, though. O_o At any rate, we have trap launcher+explosive, trap launcher+snakes, AND multi spam - yes, you can do all three in rapid succession. Trap launcher seems to not have a cd, at least on the PTR. You're only limited by trap cooldowns. Oh wait, what's this? Gogo readiness - that's four traps AND multi spam.

Kinda makes ya wish they WEREN'T upping the necessity of CC in some ways.

Are they changing the cooldown on Multi-Shot?

I'm not sure if it's me or what but in the PTR multi shot still only seems to hit three targets. Is it that way for anyone else in the PTR?

This is correct. No CD and no cast time. It's sorta like fan of knives.

Nope, mine hits everything.

Aye.

Only problem I see is that its nowhere near a replacement for volley :(

Volley is something I am sorely missing, multishot is by far a poor poor substitute for aoe, and the trap launcher feels clunky and unfinished.

My tip for the trap launcher (and it's really currently a workaround, as it takes up a bar space)

If you click your traps: /cast [button:2]Trap launcher[button:1]Explosive trap
right-left on the button then left on the target gives a relatively smooth launch.

If you keypress them:
/castsequence Trap Launcher, Explosive Trap
double-tap then left on target

I find it's led to a much smoother trap launch for me, rather than 2 different hotkeys/clicks - smooth enough to use on trash without it all being dead before you're finished casting.

The loss of volley was pretty logical. And multishot... at least with a point dashed into serpent spread... is perfectly alright. An aoe pack won't stay up that long anyway, so it works well.

In larger packs I'd opt to single target anyway. Works well.
