We have serpents, but the new pandaren Death Adders and Imperial Python are gorgeous models and are summoned a lot in the Dire Beast, but sadly...aren't tameable. Their size and fight animations as a dire beast look wonderful to me xD.
A lot of people would like to see them!
I've actually got them listed on the
second third post of the
Pet skins that are still untameable thread, since they'd belong to an existing family but use a new model.

Wain, have you added the RAF Hippogryf model?

Since there's sadly only the one skin with no possible "saddle-less" version I didn't bother for now.

Would something like that be okay?

I found a Kunchong that is not labeled here. during a quest in townlong steppes you are shooting matid with a rocket as they fly across a canyon. you shoot down an orange Kunchong named Voress'thalik and are given a quest called "Devastation Below" where you are told to finish him off.
while fighting him i noticed that he has a damaged look not listed here. this is the best screenshot i could get. the panda that comes with you tends to kite him face first into a wall and then get stuck there. >.<
he has deep cuts on his belly, arm, leg and above his head... and half his face is gone.

Oh cool. Thanks
I wonder if there's one in each colour. I'll have to get pics

I had my suspicions about there being a blue one. I never finished the quest line in 4 winds but i remember someone saying a giant Kunchong busts through the wall and is later killed. did some quick research and found out that it uses the damaged model after you fight it but it dies right away. so it could never be tamed but there is in fact a blue version out there. That is the last one i can think of though.

There's a new ram model, for the pvp mount. It's armored, but maybe blizz can strip that out like the pvp raptor's armor. Also, what about a nerubian family? There's two types that are beast-like, the Nerubian spiderling and the Nerubian flyer. If not as their own family, then they could potentially fit in silithid, spiders, and/or beetles.

I updated this a bit today and removed the Feathermanes and added scythehorns.

Thanks for updating, great list except for the flagrantly offensive omission of beavers. :O
Seeing those scythehorns, there are some amazing color combinations that haven't been used yet. I especially love the dark with purple and the brown with blue. I really hope they consider a future family for those.
And honestly we don't have many left. It would be relatively easy to account for most of these either as a new or move into existing.
New challenge family, Elemental: Elemental birds, gyreworms, hell hounds
Undead: Bone carrion bird, skeletal raptop/windserpent, ghost pets etc
Leatherwings: Pterodactyls / Skyscreamers / Pterrordaxes
Hornsteed/Hoofsteed/Somethingsteed: Dreamrunners / Scythehorns / Zhevras / "Unicorns", Horses, Windsteed
Tuskface: Elekk and Mammoths, move shoveltusk to it
Cloud Serpents: Not touching that one with a 10 foot pole
And they could easily finagle some of these into existing families or make branches.
Crocolisks: Diemetradons / Incendosaurs
Riverbeast: Frogs/Beavers (similar to the clefthoof/rhino relationship)
Goat: Rams
Silithid: Kunchong
With the exception of ones like camel or cloud serpents, I could see these being perfectly viable.

The more I think about it the more convinced I am that rams and goats belong in a broader stag/buck group of hooved mammals that butt with horns or antlers. Their mode of combat is pretty much the same across all creatures, and the entire group is actually related in the real world (ignoring fictional beasts ike talbuks and shoveltusks) - in fact antelopes are more closely related to goats and rams than deer, and they're already grouped in Stags. What to call the wider group, I'm unsure. Maybe Bucks.

Thunderhoof? (For like, the sound when they're galloping) Hoofbeasts? Ungulate?

The fact they could be grouped/named a multitude of things is what I find so exciting about them. Outside of a technical issues that we aren't aware of at the moment (such as a broken animation for example), that makes them great candidates for creative families.
