I'm actually not in favor of the sporebat. The joke originated with WHU and Frostheim, and isn't so much of a Petopia thing.
Rak'shiri is recognizable both for what he is (a member of the popular cat family) and for the outcry raised by hunters when his skin was changed. Whether you like him as blue or white, many know who he is.
Known as both the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wolf and the exotic Karoma spirit beast, the tale of the ghost wolf is known to many.
The first and perhaps most well-known spirit beast, the legendary Loque'nahak. Hunters are likely to know him regardless of preferred spec.
While she wasn't originally meant to be tamed, it was the desire of the hunter community that brought Gezzarak the Huntress to us again.

The problem with sporebats and striders, both of which I'm fond of, is they're both very vertical, which is not as good a fit for the horizontal Petopia banner. I think I'm changing my vote to Chitter, who is very much a Petopia pet and would contrast nicely against the green.

The very first pet that came to mind when I read the title of this topic was Humar the Pridelord. A close second was Echeyakee - but I think Humar represents a pinnacle hunting point for many as their first "rare hunt." Since we are hunters, and we hunt around for different pets, rare or not, I would put forth Humar as my suggestion!
To note: I no longer have Humar on my main, but I still love this little guy!

This made me think - what about, instead of the 'Sholazar Trio', we take a trio of winners - one from each talent tree. I thought the Sholazar gang would work but both Loque and Krush are ferocity
and exotic, which didn't sit right with me. If we did have a 'vote', it might be worth it to throw out suggestions for each tree.
If I had to choose one, personally I've always liked the white croc - but I'm biased. :P

I'd have to vote for Gezzarak (sp?)
simply because:
Tameable by everyone.
Pushed for by the community.
She has HUNTRESS in her name.
Just makes sense, I think.

I like that idea. One from each tree. :3 Though I also will say, lets not do any of the 'special tames' either(ex: oil wolf, fire boar, sword ghost wolf, etc.).

Hmm, this needs some pondering! If three are used, many things need to be taken into account. Colour schemes, importance of pets to the hunter community as a whole, importance of pets to the Petopians specifically, links to Mania's other WoW pages, my own personal preference...
Let me get back to you on this!

Gezzarak the Huntress, we all wanter her at one point.
The 1st of the spirit beasts, he is well know and a lot of players seem to like cats.]
A Fox.....they are just so cute.....persinily I say a Fox or Gezzarak.
