She's right. They were very much madly in love despite in-game doesnt show it as such.

I have read her lore, thank you.

She used to have antihero cred. Even if one argues that she still has it, she's on the verge of losing it.

I don't think she is presonally. It can be seen eather way the verge of losing it that is.

She's never had antihero cred if you've played her campaign. All she wanted was to kill Arthas then kill herself(proven and backed up by WC and her short story). Only reason she didnt was cause of the vyrkul.

But eh...guess some wanna view her through rose tinted glasses.

That still can be called anti heroism. She's mearly doing it for her own ends unlike a hero who would do it for everyone.

Ummm...I don't like Sylvanas and never have.

But until fairly recently, she was at least something of a...well, not a sympathetic character, but certainly a tragic one and more understandable. Now? Killing her for purples is looking pretty much inevitable. She's somehow lost any complexity that she had before.

Personally I think shes one of the better leader characters in WoW XD I don't think it helps that the leaders of both the alliance and the horde are total racest headstrong "act before thinking" dickheads  They both are very similar.

I think Varian's marginally better than Garrosh; at least he's got an excuse for having such a rage-on. (Although raging specifically about having been a gladiator, rather than—for example—the way that his father died, or the way that Thrall was apparently not paying attention to Undercity? That seems a bit "off.")

Neither of them, however, seem to have sunk into "for the evulz" territory yet. And if Sylvanas isn't there, she's pretty damn close.

She can allways blame it on that time of the month  Don't think any of the male leaders whould question that XD and all the horde ones are male apart from her XD I think all 3 of them could go that route they all have reasons. Proberly would not be good storytelling tho.

That's not antiheroism really. An example of that would be Venom from the Spiderman series. He's an anti hero. Why? He kills bad guys that break the law compared to a hero like Spiderman who doesn't kill bad guys.

Sylvannas just kills anyone that stands in her way and she seeks revenge against Arthas. Nothing more. It wasnt even complex, just emotional and cold at best.

and yeah, Varian has proven to be a lot better than Garrosh(and even kicked his ass....twice, if I recall.).

I think you're a little confused on what antiheroism actually is...
"an·ti·he·roes also an·ti-he·roes
A main character in a dramatic or narrative work who is characterized by a lack of traditional heroic qualities, such as idealism or courage.
a protagonist / main character in a narrative work lacking in heroic qualities.
A protagonist who exhibits unheroic characteristics."

All that considered, I definitely would classify Sylvanas as an antihero. Whether or not she did it for selfish reasons, she has done heroic deeds. She freed the Forsaken, led them to revenge on their captor, and is now keeping their race going by the Val'kyr. Along with that, she has antihero qualities such as greed, selfishness, violent tendencies, etc.

Her current motives are really questionable, since she does seem to be getting increasingly evil, but there was at least a point where she would be considered an antihero. It's not unlikely for antiheroes to turn evil, or for evil characters to turn into antiheroes, anyways.

Zuilu has it right she fits the role of a anit hero perfectly. Venoms a BASIC anit hero seeing as he's more hero than anti.

And Varian only slightly better he's still a head strong racest dickhead.

I still don't consider her an antihero of any sort because she didn't do anything heroic or for the good of anyone but herself. She freed the Forsaken but only to use them as pawns(making her no better than Arthas, truthfully).

Maybe my view of her is a little more jaded cause I've never liked her and take much joy in slaughtering her. Venom made a better antihero.

She's still a anit-hero as freeing the Forsaken is still something heroic even if she did it for her own ends.

Doing it for herself is the point of being an antihero, Jessi. xD
She did something heroic, BUT she did it out of selfishness--which is something that a hero wouldn't do. An antihero.

Eh, like I said, my view on her may be a bit on the jaded side. I've never liked her, never will. XD

King Chin versus Garrosh Potatohead. Either way, we lose.

Actually, come to think of it... Neither of them do much directly this expansion in-game, do they? Garrosh mouths off at Vol'jin in a flashback, pops up late in Stonetalon to toss a guy off a mesa, threatens to kill your character in an Ashenvale chain, and leads the advance into the Twilight Highlands. Varian is perturbed to learn about the circumstance of his kidnapping in Dustwallow and helps you kill a Twilight Cultist that made its way right into his throne room. Do they do anything else?

If the developer promises about war flaring up in Pandaria will be true, I suppose we'll be seeing a lot more of them. But right now, it's all about the Earthen Ring, dragons, and Thrall's exploits. Let's hope that the two of them get more tolerable if they do get important again.

Lets not forget Garrosh destroyed the Shatterspear tribe by throwing them at the night elves....XD and in Wolfheart, Varian kicked Garrosh's ass again.
