Oooo, yeah from the basic descriptions I've read, he seemed like he might be a little iffy (since my assassin is generally pretty kind). But yay! Maybe I will like him after all. I think I'm going to get Ashara next, though, if I had to guess. I think I read you get her when you're on Taris or something, which from playing my sentinel I know is a lower-level planet than wherever Andronikos comes from. We'll see though. :)

I got a fancy hooded chest piece today from The Black Talon. I feel all spiffy now. My character kind of has this goth feel to her, which I'm totally loving. I mean, I'm not intentionally doing that, but that's how she's developing and I love it. And I don't see myself as an Imperial, really. Even though I'm on that side, I don't like how they treat people and all that. Basically, the dark side is just a tool I can use to mostly help people, but also punish the dbags. It's a lot less restricting than being a Jedi. I make it more difficult than it needs to be, but I try to make sure I'm always sunshine and bunnies.

I'm rambling now, I'm really tired.

Taris is only low level for Republic toons, it's actually like a level 30 something planet for Empire characters.

Oooooooooh, okay. I assumed it'd be the same across the board. Well done, Bioware, well done! That helps keep it a bit more fresh so you don't feel like you're doing the same thing on both sides. :D

I think it's also to help PvP servers out so you're not as much at risk of being ganked by high levels. It also splits you a bit midway to give you a slight break. I know there's other planets like that too.

For Empire, Balmorra is a 16-20 planet and I think Republic encounter it in their 30s or something. Taris is a low level Republic planet and it's a 30 something for Empire. Hrm, I thought there were more but those might be the only two planets like that since I think Coruscant and Dromund Kaas are faction unique like Tython, Ord Mantell, Korriban, and Hutta.

Well, still, I think it's nice, even if it's only two planets. XD

Nar Shadda too.

Actually Nar Shaddaa is a low 20s planet for both factions--it's the first planet you can encounter world PvP on from my understanding.

Roll a second smuggler and go scoundrel? Ended up being what I had to do with my inquisitors because I couldn't stop wondering about the second advanced class.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, my scoundrel is level 14 and really doesn't feel like a scoundrel yet (to me). Most of my abilities are still from cover. Maybe it's supposed to be that way, but I was under the impression I'd have more in-your-face abilities. Maybe I just don't have them yet.

So don't feel bad - if you like ranged more, then the gunslinger is probably the way to go. :)

By level 19 on my original Operative, I was using stealth and meleeing and typically not going into cover once I discovered that Operative/Scoundrel weren't really intended to be that way; but maybe I did something wrong. I was trying to level as Medic spec with Kaliyo and I personally found the overall experience unenjoyable. I still kind of wonder whether or not I did something wrong in my playstyle to make it feel so awful. Granted, level 19's not a whole lot of experience to go by. :)

Well, I personally love the one ability I have where I whip out my scattergun and blast them with it. I have to be standing behind them, which is a pain for me at the moment since the rest of my abilities are ranged from cover. If I had more melee or mid-range abilities, it'd be fine.

So yeah, I'm wondering if maybe scoundrels/operatives take a bit longer to feel like what they're supposed to feel like? Like with my Sentinel, as soon as I was level 10 and had my second lightsaber, I felt like a sentinel. As a level 14 scoundrel, I just feel like a level 14 with no spec since I don't have the gunslinger abilities, and only one useful scoundrel ability. Maybe they're much more rewarding later on, and you just have to stick with it for a while?

Yeah, I'm not sure since I never got real far with mine. :< Been debating off and on making a second agent and trying it again, or taking my smuggler scoundrel and trying it from that perspective.

I asked an opninion in general chat last night and was told smugglers come into their own a bit later. That if played right at level 50 they can be one of the hardest and most annoying classes in the game to take down. However I do like ranked and the dual pistols are really cool... Idk I just liked the scrapper tree a lot and how it looked. I'm Sharpshooter atm but Saboteur is pretty cool too and Dirty Fighting is their shared tree. All I know is I'm way attached to Corso! :)

Its weird...I played SWTOR (we ordered it early) non-stop for hours till someone kicked me off the computer. I got three characters (one BH to level 30 something, a SI to level 20ish, and a SW to level 10ish) and leveled them for awhile before I buzzed myself out on it; I literally stopped playing any video games for two or three weeks. Now, I'm back to playing WoW, (BGing, dungeons, raids - with the new finder, leveling proff, pretty much the whole nine yards) again.

Star Wars is cool and all but I miss the fantasy and RP of WoW, I may start bouncing between the two now. It's weird - not that the graphics of SW aren't cool and the voice acting and what not but WoW is in it's own way awesome. And I miss it...

I still play both, there's no reason anyone shouldn't! :) I like them for their own reasons. Granted, I like SWTOR a little more right now, but I still enjoy WoW.

If you have the money for it, there's no reason you can't enjoy both games at once. :) If I had the money to upkeep my WoW account on the side, I probably would just for my beloved hunters (but I want no active part of WoW's end game, I got incredibly bored with that). But I can't do that atm so SW:TOR's become my game of choice, especially since my bf and friends are all playing it right now too.

They're both great games and I hope they both do well. More competition for Blizzard is always a good thing too (or, at least more competition that actually keeps a reasonable amount of surscribers) as it will give Blizzard a reason to make sure they push out good quality content. :D

You nailed it on the head, Tyger. In my personal opinion, Blizz has gotten a little lazy with content since they were the big dogs. Now, maybe they can take a few things from SWTOR and breathe some new life into WoW.
