Pretty sure it's the wind serpent skeleton, not dragonhawk. Maybe they'll add a walk later like with the hypogriffs. And I bet that there will be more like this one in MoP.

Probably right. Dragonhawk wings flap much slower while Wind Serpent flaps much faster.

Although after staring at it for like an hour...I've come to realize that if it is using a wind serpent skeleton...it's a heavily modified one. Even if you turned the wind serpent horizontal, the animations are still not the same. When sitting idle, the wind serpent has a big tail whip and "hip thrust" (for lack of a better term), where the dragon just waves around more gently, with the tail swaying side to side more. When in motion, the wind serpent's movements are for the most part, just up and down, where the dragon has a huge sway in the tail from left to right as well. Really, the only animation that seems similar between the two is the swimming animation. So not saying the dragon has a new skeleton, but to me it seems to be a heavily modified wind serpent skeleton.

Oh I'm sure its modified but everything has a base. Like the female worgen are based on the female draenei skeleton.
EDIT: Looking at the wing flapping...I observed other drakes(Frostbrood Vanquisher being one of them) and they seem to flap 'backwards' as well, atleast in idle animation.

It would be neat if they came out with another mount like this, but wingless. I love lung dragons sooo much! I like this seemingly cross between Asian and western dragon as well.
When I shrunk down with nogginfogger and was playing around with pygmy oil, I couldnt help think that a smaller or wingless version would make an awsome hunter pet.

It's allways better to resue models, walk cylcles etc well atleast in animation saves time and money and means less bugfixig if the model's base is fine. Every game does it

.

I found one other thing that slightly unnerves me sadly. x.x heh. For those of you who have shadow effects on in-game, the wing-membrane of these dragons have no shadow...so it looks like just two skeleton stick things flinging around as far as a shadow goes. Its...kinda creepy. lol

You should see Netherdrake shadows lol. It's weird cause the membranes are seethru.

The shadow actually looks pretty cool.
And here's some pics I took in Earthen Ring's Org.
There was a better line up but I couldn't find it XD.

LOL
I got together with a bunch of other Heart of Aspects riders, and we all stood in a circle, facing inward (noses to noses) and did our "/mountspecial".
it was a hoot! over and over, this mad circle of spinning, flipping gold dragons!

It's a great looking mount, will probably get it next week. Great to level a Pandoren with in the future

I really do like this mount exactly as he is. I like the fact that the wings look different from the "normal" drakes' wings. To me, they look like the wings of a falcon - a bird that is extremely fast and extremely maneuverable, which would suit an "easternish" dragon quite well, I think. Now that Tahl has Skyfire here, his bronze and bone drakes can have a bit of a rest every now and then instead of toting his lazy bum all over Azeroth.
So far as mailbox and vendor blocking goes...I always dismount before checking mail or interacting with a vendor if I'm on a flying mount, no matter which one I'm riding. My ground mounts don't tend to take up the amount of space the flyers do, so they don't cause a problem. Well...except for Hannibal the mammoth, but I don't use him terribly often at all, and still dismount then.
