I'm caught between the black, because it looks so sleek....

And the "sunrise" one with the gold turning to orange and the white "fins". That one is really quite lovely.

There seems to be four different colours of kite mount in the database at the moment, called Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. Here's some model shots so you can get a better look:

The kites look really sweet, I saw them in action as taxi in a live-stream! Can't wait to have one!

I managed to copy over the MoP models to an old file and get Wowmodelviewer to render them. However in many cases it's not rendering armour and saddle textures at all, leaving them as big white blocks. So unfortunately I'm really limited in other mounts I can post here at the moment.

One thing I did mention is that there are other colours of the stone (Onyx) panther mount. I had to remove the harness in order to get pics of these, so they have holes in them. Don't judge the finished product by these shots! This is just so you can see the base colours. I've posted the onyx one as well as a reference:

I really hope at least one is a jewelcrafting-made mount. My main profession rarely has anything fun in it.

Dragon Turtle Mount and Epic version:

The non-epic one didn't seem to let me change its colour. So this is it for now. I don't imagine they'd want to limit it to one colour, though:

The epic version let me change the colour. I just set it to the same colour as the non-epic though. So far the only thing "epic" about it is it has an extra brown... thingamajig... with lanterns... over the top of the seat. Maybe they're still working on it.

Those cats are intense. The black one is so sleek looking!

And this may sound a tad repetitive, but that green one... Such a lovely shade of green! :D

Another comment on the kites, they're so adorable, the way they look like birds! ^.^

its gonna be a pain farming them all during or even after the content becomes obsolete >__>

that's what i liked about the nether wing faction you could go purely by dailies or farm some little extra with the egg quest.

during the expansion it was a pain but now for an alt its rather enjoyable being able to farm extra without the daily quest limit :D


am am still hoping like crazy for this but seeing the tournament grounds, firelands dalies etc. its making me a sad panda.

i really do like the black one
but the redish orange one looks very nice as well :S

edit i am starting to wonder if the kites are perhaps going to be either LW mounts?

I had just started thinking the same thing! That would be really neat!

And you know... At blizzcon I think it was Ghostcrawler that said "maybe jewel crafting" for the next profession to craft a mount... Well look at these cats!!

Those cat mounts are...O.O
I've never been hugely into the currently available cat mounts, for some reason. I mean they're not bad or anything, but these are plain stunning. I love the black, and the red. The blue is gorgeous, and I am even delighted by that offensively yellow one. Green too is very charming. Want them all.

As for the dragons, I have a hard time choosing. I really like the purple, but agree with Veph that the orange tones don't appeal so much. The black is delightful, and so is the green. I'm surprisingly fond of that pearlescent lilac too. HOW DO I CHOOSE ONE???

Agreed! I'm not really a huge fan of cat-mounts, but I adore these!
