Well yeah, but I figure the gold for the yak will be easier in Pandaria. ;)

Yay! SUCH good news! This will actually give me a reason to get a bunch of mounts I never bothered with for now, since I have too many characters to just concentrate on one!
Thank you Blizzard!

The yak will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine.

Oh good, if the yak is going to be account wide, then no need for me to get the other faction's tundra mammoth.

Alright, I think I'm going to stop procrastinating and make myself a Mechano-Hog. I've always wanted one, but I don't like spending large amounts of gold at one time, plus since I had the RAF rocket I didn't really *need* a passenger mount.

In light of this news though, having it for all of my characters seems worth it, and the approximate 14k it takes to craft one really isn't that much nowadays, I have plenty to make it.

Time to farm Titanium.

I welcome this change. Now I've got to go farm the Sandstone drake on one of my alchemists... I have 4 so I should get 4 times the odds.

Veph is finally sporting a badass hog! I definitely think it was worth it now that all my characters can get it. :D I know it's one of the oldest and cheapest goldsink mounts, but I'm really reluctant to spend my gold so for me it was a big step.

Even if its the oldest and cheapest, its still amazing to ride, the first time especially. Congrats :)

It's nice the gold sinks are account wide, but I'm just glad the Cloud Serpents are now too...

with the cloud serpents being account wide, if the quest can only be done once on a toon, then this way we can still get all of them.
I am so happy about the traveler mounts being added, since now I can justify spending the 16K gold for a mount. (yeah, I know getting gold isnt that hard...but I dont like spending what little time I have to play, farming). Guess I also need to run my DK for rep so that he can get the Chopper pattern. Atleast soloing heroics on a DK at lv 85 is easy :)

curious, would •Reins of the Ice Mammoth be account wide from since there are technically 2 versions of it (horde and ally)?

Or would it be just Since I have it on my horde toon, it'll only show up for my other horde toons (not my ally)

Just curious if its going to mean that these ones will carry over

I'd imagine the alliance version is going to show up on your alliance toons and vice versa? Not sure though, but it would make sense in my mind since it's the same mount but just has two different colours for it. :)

if it is account wide, then it should automatically turn for hordies into the red version and turn into blue version for allies. Gear does the same thing when you faction change and theres a very specific horde/ally difference to it (the lvl 60 pvp gear i guess would be the best example) ^-^

Yeah, that's the only goldsink mount I have made/bought aswell, and it wasn't even for me ;) I farmed the rep and made one only to give it to my BF for our anniversary (or valentines day, can't remember ;) ) back in wrath, because he really wanted one. And man was he happy when he opened the wrapper :P
And no, I myself don't have one, even though I think all my characters on that server (if they haven't removed it) has the achievement :P Wonder what people thought when my lvl 3 bank got the achievement

So much for that noise:

(mmo-champ)
Grand Expedition Yak Price Increase
The Reins of the Grand Expedition Yak has been hit with a price increase to 120,000. Most players will be able to purchase it at the discounted price of 108,000, which comes from the Bartering guild perk.

Did you see the other thread that had the JC mount prices? THOSE are ridiculous. This is a drop in the bucket by comparison.

If that turns out to be the case, then it should theoretically be possible to pay for a faction transfer for any of your Alliance toons and so end up with the Horde equivalent for all your Horde toons. Since faction transfers translate mounts and stuff from one faction equivalent to the other. Of course that uses up real money...

I did not, you mean those 4 Panther mounts that you combine into the one flying mount? What do those run about?

Interesting to think about if you were planning on a Faction change anyways. If thats the case I have a character who is basically retired with a free Faction change (from the scroll of res thing from awhile back). I'll use it just to see if it works after Panda (thinking mainly those Argent Tourney Faction Mounts etc).
