My god, so many rares! o.O I'm glad they're bringing back the rare achievement(s), well, kinda anyway. So much to do this expansion, omg!

Wow that Hardened Shell would be a great Twink item. Just imagine in the 25-29 bracket, or better yet level 50's in AV

good thing then it binds on pick-up so unless someone intentionally brings a lowbie to MoP areas and kills the rare for them to loot, I don't think we'd see many (if any) lowbies with it, at least not for awhile.

I think it was an answer to those people complaining about gankers being nigh-invincible once they've taken to the air? I remember a thread or two to that effect on the official forums...

I can't find him either. Technically, there are no mantids in Jade Forest. I have no idea where one would hang out...

This guy isn't a rare, so he doesn't technically belong here, but he's pretty similar in some ways.

I found an elite 86, neutral gnoll wandering the Jade Forest called Martar the Not-So-Smart. Despite elite status he barely grazed me and was easy enough to kill. After defeat he dropped a trinket, Martar's Magnifying Glass, which allows you to summon him as a combat companion for 10 mins, 1 hour cooldown. Despite the flavour text, he said only seemed to say the occasional thing, and wasn't especially responsive. He does help you kill stuff, though, and was a fun companion



A few minutes later he'd respawned. I got him to help me kill himself. This time instead of a trinket he dropped a grey item: "A Steamy Romance Novel: Big Brass Bombs".

He seems to respawn regularly. Here's his rough location (he wanders):

I was watching him walk in a large circle last night. Was wondering if he was pathing around a rare beast spawn point

Ok i have found it. You can not target to him then he is steahlty.

I edited your post to display the images you attached. Beforehand you seemed to have a bad URL in there from some third party photo server. The URL you entered wasn't actually for a raw image, but some web page that displays an image. So it wasn't displaying it in this post.

The crossbow from Sarnak in Jade Forest is BoE I just found out No other items from the rares are.

That seems odd. Normally all green/blue drops from rares are BoE. Hrm.
