Silly Eq, that was me.

A biiiiig thanks to everyone who TRIED to get me this STUBBORN pet, and to Tilo for succeeding! Finally a Sha to call my own~

Works with Kung Din in Jade Forest too, and his collar stays on even if he dies, so it's safe to bring him with you raiding / soloing / pvping / whatever you like to do
Named him after my real life cat

Wow this is really hard. Trying to get Kung Din but either he dies b4 hes mine or my bro attacks him and he doesnt die and turns regular without chain.

Can anyone -please- confirm rather or not the sa touched beats, namly the cats/cranes keep the effect if they die? No ones really said much on it. I rather know before going though the effort for a pet I'd be scared to use.

I would say that if they die when killed normally then Im pretty sure it will be reset. The pets that do work are usually the pets that keep it past death but blizz wont allow you to have the chain or the Sha touched effect therefore it gets swapped with a normal version try it.

Someone said on page 5 that if they die they lose the buff.

The cat and the crane both lose their buff when they die. However, the crocolisk and the scorpid both KEEP their buff upon dying.

A good presumption is that if the mob dies and loses the effect, it will do the same if killed when tamed.

This does NOT guarantee that mobs that keep their effects when killed will do the same when tamed, though the likelihood is higher.

Kung Din is so frustrating ._.

Some good tactics I've used since he took me ages:

You do 22-30k stable damage to him from the 'punches'. Wail on him in your normal gear and then use the punches for low health for precision.

Server hop between you and your buddy's realm for no waiting, especially if allies abound since he is a quest mob for them.

Plant (not launch) a frost trap at your feet after he's at low health and just finished a pounce. Don't shoot for the 3 second iffy window before he stuns you again, tame when he's frozen (or sleeping with Wyvern).

Be in a duel! Seriously, this helps LOADS for all the pets. I don't know why, but it does.

Why does the dueling help? Is it because the 2nd person can get a small margin of extra time to kill the pet even when it becomes my pet but b4 it resets its HP and its DING?

Possibly, or some mechanic to lessen lag between the players -- I don't know why but every one I've gotten, I've been in a duel.

Well Ive had like 100 attempts lol didnt get it. There was one time I killed and tamed but I wasnt fast enough to spam revive to despawn his corpse. How did you guys get the Coldbite Matriarch? Im having such a hard time getting Kung Din and yet a few of you guys can get that croc. You have to beat down that thing from 1mil to a killable 1HKO wouldnt that take an enormous amount of time? Wow you guys must hav the best luck haha
