I've given the brother a nudge to update it, so something should appear soon. Sorry for the delay, we've been under a bit of stress in the real world.

I just got this earlier it is cool having my pets say and do stuff but one thing I wish we could do is edit it so instead of saying male all the time have it say some of my pets such as Loque are female.

You actually can change the gender Creston. ;3 Says so in the basic commands.
/pe gender whatevergenderhere
So in your case, it'd be /pe gender female

By lore, yes. Loque is male as he is the mate of Har'koa, whom is a female. :3 But yanno, could always say you tamed their daughter or something.

I am really enjoying seeing what my pets have to say but there is something I noticed I didn't really like true they can't all be happy but while running Blackrock Depths to clear old quests from my log my Skoll started looking at me in disgust and sulking away or looks for food then gets upset again I know they can't be happy all the time but seeing my poor pet upset made me feel bad.

Well that happens. It's random. XD Maybe your Skoll is moody.

That is a slight downside to the addon for some users. Previously it reacted with pets' in-game happiness to determine what group of emotes to use as they were added in and divided by each mood type: Happy, Content and Unhappy. Since in-game moods were removed quite a while back and pets are constantly Happy by default, it seemed a shame to simply remove all the emotes that didn't fall under the Happy category. So instead the mood conditions were removed so that the users could still see all the available emotes. Though it does end up giving some pets extreme mood swings
Maybe your Skoll isn't fond of BRD? Or, as Junrei said, was simply feeling moody

I find the grumpy emotes endearing. Pets aren't happy all the time. x3 They get upset just like we do as well as hungry. The fact it happens completely at random makes rp with them that much more entertaining.

*pokes head in* Had to see how things are with PetEmote. Yeah, still sorta fond of it even though I quit playing a long time ago. Since I don't play anymore, I don't know how it's working in-game, but, if this is any indication, it looks like things are good. I'm really happy you got someone coding this, Varethyn, and that you keep the updates coming. On Curse, no less

. Really happy to see it's getting some fame as "that petopia addon" XD since everyone helped make it what it is. Anyway, I knew you could do it. I'm proud of you! Carry on and keep up the good work! *runs off*

Thanks so much Teigan! It's great to see you're still around

Yup yup, so far so good. Beyond a couple of instances where I lost some emotes and downloads refused to give them to me everything has been going well! It's warming to know that it's still a popular addon and I thank you, Jorna and everyone who has contributed so far

I have to admit, my brother at least has other things going on for him recently so updates will be a bit slower. Poking sticks and other methods of persuasion are welcome.
Unfortunately I can't get on WoW to test things myself right now due to rl issues. Because of this I must ask that if anyone notices anything off to please let me know! I -think- I caught everything but best to be safe

It's random on which ones appear. Sometimes you'll get more happy ones than sad.

I still have not seen any updates on Curse since February. Have there been any?

Hmm, I don't use the Curse Client, I see notices of updates in my addon favorites list and there haven't been any notices since February. When I check the actual page for the addon, it says the latest version is 1.8.3 from Feb.27.

Even on the project page it says the latest file is an Alpha version from June. I still see no actual updates and I will not install the Curse Client. I want only release versions, no betas or worse, alphas. There should be an update available from the regular page for the addon in Curse.
