Hey I just got Pokemon X. Wouldn't mind playing with some of you. I just started so trading with me would be pointless for you folks, and I have no idea what Safari means yet.

Hmm, I cant seem to see anyone who has added me. Is it through Pokemon itself? Or through the DS home page?

Any help is much appreciated

You add people through the 3DS itself for X/Y, rather than on the game through a Pal Pad, like how it was done back in the fourth and fifth generations.

Royi - If people have added you already, it'll automatically put them on your list properly when you add them. If they haven't added you yet, all you'll see is a pending invite at the very end of your friends list until they add you back. You'll know when they've added you back when you go to your friends list and it says, "So and so has added you!" Sadly you both have to add each other in order for it to work, though I understand why they did that.

Perfect! Thank you for the information. I figured it out and added some people. Its too bad they didn't have a "this person added you, do you want to add them too?" option or something.


I haven't gotten to the safari part yet. How will I know when I have a safari available? Do i have to get to the town with one or something first?

You have to beat the E4 to get to the friend safari. You've got to have people added to your friends to go in their safari. You cant go into your own safari so you cant catch the Pokémon in your own safari. All three Pokémon are unlocked after beating the E4. Friends can go in your safari when you add them though and find out your safari type and the first two Pokémon available inside it.
